For the entrées, the Chilaquiles were expertly prepared, delivering depth of flavor and a satisfying balance of texture and spice. The Tacos de Pollo were equally well-executed, featuring tender, properly seasoned chicken served on high-quality, house-made tortillas.
The Mayan Manhattan was an excellent accompaniment, skillfully crafted, smooth, and distinctive.
Service by Sadie was exemplary. She was attentive, professional, and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall dining experience without being intrusive. The restaurant’s ambience was warm, polished, and inviting, making it an ideal setting for a relaxed yet refined meal.
Mayan Cafe is more than just a restaurant; it’s an event space and caterer that genuinely cares about creating memorable moments. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to help us celebrate our big day.
10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an intimate event space. Truly the best caterer in Louisville!
For my appetizer, I chose the black bean empanada, which was a fantastic start to the meal. The empanada was perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a flavorful black bean mixture that was both hearty and satisfying.
The highlight of the evening was the entrée – the rabbit. It was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, with a rich and savory sauce that complemented the meat beautifully. Every bite was a treat.
To finish off the meal, I indulged in the goat cheese flan for dessert. This was truly phenomenal, with a creamy texture and a lovely fruit topping that added a refreshing sweetness. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner.
The meal was fairly priced, and the restaurant also offered a nice selection of wines to pair with the dishes. Overall, Mayan Cafe provided an exceptional dining experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal in Louisville.
Food was good, nothing spectacular. Everything was really beautiful and service was good as well. I will say that the food was pretty, but didn’t taste as great as it looked visually.
Chips were amazing and the most unique “dish” we tried. The appetizers were a bit small for the prices. The entrees were decent.
Overall, we might return, but there are better places to be had in Louisville honestly.
Nice atmosphere too.
Hope we get to come back soon.
The food was delicious, and I would particularly like to commend the exceptional service provided by Manager Chris and servers John and Pedro. Their attentiveness and friendliness contributed greatly to a highly positive experience.
