I stopped into Torshi Mediterranean Grill with my daughter after shopping at Marshall’s, and it was our first time there. From the moment we walked in, the experience was wonderful.
The young lady at the counter was amazing, she patiently explained the menu, walked us through the ingredients, and gave thoughtful recommendations based on what we told her we liked. That kind of guidance makes such a difference when you’re trying something new.
The food was incredibly delicious; fresh, flavorful, and healthy. You could taste the quality. The cook was also very pleasant, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming and genuine.
On our way out, my daughter accidentally dropped her drink and felt terrible about it. The staff handled it with so much kindness and calm. They immediately reassured her, told her not to worry, and took care of everything without making her feel embarrassed. That meant more to me than they probably realized.
We had to leave quickly because we were running late, but the impression stayed with us. For me, service is everything. How people treat you lingers. The team here was humble, customer-focused, and truly kind.
We’ll absolutely be back.

Food was very tasty and had a lot of great flavor. The serving size was very generous, the bowls were loaded and they gave plenty to keep you full. Would definitely recommend and would go back!

I have been wanting to come here for awhile. We finally made it and it was WORTH IT. I love exploring cultures through food – and this spot is definitely a local treasure. Incredible food, and incredible people working there that guide you through all the different options. Can’t wait for summertime – they have an outdoor area! The only thing missing is ——- good Egyptian COFFEE ☕️ that you could enjoy with their incredible baklava or a homemade recipe of rice pudding ——- which the owner gave me for free to try. So good. Healthy good food is hard to find – just found it. Thank you.

I stopped by Torshi in Kearny and tried the chicken pieces over rice—WOW. I wasn’t expecting such bold, addictive flavor. The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the rice was fluffy and full of flavor, and the whole dish just hit the spot in the best way possible.
The portion was generous, the presentation was on point, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. You can tell they put real love into their food here. The staff was friendly and welcoming too, which made the whole experience even better.
If you’re in Kearny and haven’t tried Torshi yet, you’re seriously missing out. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more off the menu!

Today marks my second visit here. I’ve been exploring different cultures of food and the food is great! I feel like you get your money’s worth with the portion of food you get. I don’t feel rushed when ordering my food. The owner is pleasant, welcoming, and doesn’t have an issue explaining what each food item is. Dine-in if you can, there’s space inside and outside to eat.

What a beautiful, clean, healthy place to eat! We were going to Dave’s Hot Chicken that is next door but I saw their picture of their food and convinced my husband. The beat decision ever! The food is fresh and is very healthy .They also give you a sample to try. I was blown away with their high-quality service and food. I will definitely come back again.
