I visited Dosa Paragon on Yate Street in Victoria one day, and since then it has become my go-to spot. They serve truly amazing dosas at very reasonable prices. The taste, flavor, and crispness are exactly like the dosas I used to enjoy back in India it made me genuinely happy to find the same authentic experience here in Canada.
The staff is friendly and the food quality is consistently great. The only thing I wish they could improve is their store hours but the food is absolutely worth it.
I highly recommend everyone to try Dosa Paragon if you want the best dosa in Victoria. I really hope they extend their hours so I can enjoy their food any time of the day!
Oh, I almost forgot to mention they also serve South Indian coffee, and it’s amazing! The flavor is exactly like the traditional coffee we make back in India. Hot, aromatic, and incredibly satisfying. Definitely a must-try!

First time trying dosa, it was like a huge Indian crepe filled with whatever you like. We had the butter chicken masala and goat masala, which included several tasty chutney sauces. Great service and beautiful old building too.

If you’re craving authentic South Indian food in Victoria, Dosa Paragon is the place to go. It’s hands down the best spot in town for dosa—crispy, flavorful, and always satisfying.
The food is consistently delicious, but be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially on weekends. The service can be a little slow at times, but once your food arrives, it’s totally worth it.

This is probably the best place to have India food especially if you love South Indian food. The food is extremely tasty! The location does feel a little small compared to the one on wharf street and the service is slow but the food compensates for it. I love to visit this restaurant.

Delicious dosa/south asian food! I’ve been craving dosa for a while and the south indian combo (dosa, idly, uttapam) hit the spot. The dosa and medu vada were crispy, the chutneys were good, and the idly and uttapam’s texture was perfect. Bonus point: the staff is super kind and the rice pudding was perfectly sweet ie not too sweet. Highly recommend!

We ordered masala dosa, onion masala dosa and filter coffee and all were great. Place was inside the compound so wasn’t really easy to spot. You need to enter throught the door to the yates 735 to find it.

So Celiac and Vegan friendly!!
I’ve frequented the Yates location for lunch on workdays for a couple years – food is always great.
Recently, my in-laws came to town. Mother-in-law is Vegan and a highly sensitive Celiac. I submitted a question online and Bob the owner called me back very promptly to discuss her dietary needs. This gave me a lot of confidence to suggest Dosa to my small-town family members.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we shared our dietary concerns with our server, who was great, and mentioned that I had spoken to Bob. A few minutes later he came to greet our table and to make sure he was crystal clear on our needs; he even came back later with a video to show that he cooked our food in fresh oil. So sweet!
All of the food was fabulous, and the other 3 at the table all finished as mush as they could! Delicious!
The care taken by Bob and the Dosa Paragon ensured an easy and enjoyable evening dining out, something that can be a real challenge to those with significant gluten issues.
Thank you guys so much, we’ll definitely be back.
