This may be a cool place for some, but not for me. Kind of a dive bar atmosphere, casual, unpretentious and unapologetic. Limited table seating. It took almost an hour for my sandwich.
Definitely generous portion and high price for the worst food I can recall having anywhere, sorry to say.
I was never asked how it was, which was probably best for me because I would have had to tell the truth.
If you are an older person and you need the restroom, it is outside and you are taking your life in your hands as there is not only a steep step into it, but another step to ascend to the “throne” then to exit you have to squish back in order to have space to open the door. But it was clean!
The server was friendly, loud and outgoing while a bit abrupt, which is probably needed here, especially when busy, and having no available seating. She had a lot of personality and laughed a lot, which did add a positive vibe.

It’s cute for what it is.
It’s a small bar; I’m talking 6 tables max and 2 of those are outside. So call ahead of you want to dine in.
I got an Italian. Fat footlong and 6″ wide. Sides are separate. They don’t have fries or tater tots. Small beer/cider selections, but good stuff.

It was Chef’s Kiss! My son had the meatball sub and it was amazing and beautiful! I had the chef salad, yummy!
The waitress took good care of us and my son has special needs, and I’m a stroke patient, and she was helpful and patient.
My son is obsessed with Seattle sports teams, and he loved the merch/art and the Vibes.
Thank you so much and we love to support our local business

Local neighborhood. Converted home into a restaurant. Nothing fancy. But these guys know how to make food. We had the jalapeño poppers, pastrami sandwich and the toasted Italian. We waited a bit but you knew it was going to be worth the wait. The poppers were very well balanced with just the right amount of ingredients and flavor. Doesn’t look like much but it was really good. Then came the sandwiches. Stuffed with as much veg and meat as you could in between the bread. Really had to stuff the huge sandwich in our mouths. Then “bam” and “wow”. Couldn’t stop. These guys know how to make a sandwich. Something special about what these guys are making. Don’t take it home. Eat it all there. Pastrami just melted in your mouth with enough firmness and pull to make it special. This has to be on everyone’s list if you like big, flavorful sandwiches. Don’t be in a rush. Be hungry.

This is a very unique sandwich place for the area. Definitely an East Coast deli influence. I don’t get to go out all that much but the few times I’ve been able to hit Scribles? I’ve been very happy with their sandwich execution. Big, pretty, flavorful sandwiches.
Expensive as hell? Sure, but it’s a conundrum these days, right? Staff gotta eat. Owner gotta eat.
It’s hard to do something special and then have it also be a value.
$22 bucks for a sandwich and a ginger beer.
Please don’t misunderstand me. I’m very happy with my meal. Very satisfied with the sandwich. I’m just sad I don’t have the personal economy to be more regular. And what that says about the world today. If I don’t? Then others don’t. And good places doing good things don’t get more regular business as well.
It was a damn good sandwich!

Such a delicious lunch! We had a salad ( shared between 3 people!) the French Dip sandwiches and the Grinder Club. Everything was so flavorful! Huge portions. I’ve seen reviews where people complained about the wait. It was worth it! They were working hard. Definitely recommend!!

We were in town visiting friends and the first night they brought us to their favorite local deli for some dinner and drinks. It was so good we ended up stopping in two more times during our trip. Super friendly staff, fantastic food and a great selection of beer and drinks. Kenzie, with her beautiful eyes, was an amazing server and so incredibly friendly and personable. She made us the best margaritas and always served everything up quickly with a smile. Morgan was a beast on the grill serving up delicious sandwiches and flatbreads. We tried the pastrami sandwich, philly sandwich and a flatbread. Everything was sooo yummy!

Wasn’t sure what to expect as it’s nestled into a neighborhood and had limited indoor seating but the sandwiches do not disappoint. As we walked in everyone seemed to know one another which just added to its rustic charm. Also had a great beer selection in a fridge that might be older than the building itself. Just watch yourself in the bathroom, it’s snug.

I just had an absolutely incredible Reuben sandwich. Meat sliced thinly, crisp sauerkraut and an incredible mustard on locally grown bread.
At this tiny little gem of a spot, you’ll find friendly staff and incredible food. Great beers on tap, and the house made iced tea is delicious. I can’t see how I’ll ever come to Eugene without eating here ever again.

Great sandwich options. Salads look good as well. Not a fast food style sandwich place so be patient especially when busy. Great sandwiches, big and fat
