Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

Fast-food chain known for namesake German sandwiches, plus burgers, onion rings & crinkle-cut fries.

First time at a Runza but definitely won’t be my last, if I’m ever in Nebraska again. The Runza itself was hot and fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the Philly one

Service was exceptional and really helpful as this was our first experience with Runza.

Love the option to mix onion rings and fries, as well as the French onion dip for fries.

Love love the cinnamon roll and cookie dough sundae

Food was great and we really enjoyed the experience!!! A must try when driving through. Nebraska.

We enjoyed the food from Runzas! The Runza was a really good pasty that reminded me of a Russian piroski. The onion rings are good…I recommend getting the sauce with it. Chicken/burger options were great for my pickier eaters. We are traveling with our dog, so we ordered our food ahead of time and just ate outside at the little shaded park next to the restaurant.

As a quick lunch, the food is good. It is definitely a good place to stop by while driving on I-80.

I’m torn between 4 and 5 stars. The employees were top-notch. They were friendly and speedy with everyone (this ain’t McDee’s!).
I got the Runza sandwich. It’s hard to explain, but you should give it a try. Think hot pocket, except better.
The fries were really good, too. I can’t remember the price of the meal, but I think it was about 11 bucks.
If I ever pass through Nebraska again, I’ll be getting a Runza.

Service was horrible, mood swings from every direction. Returned our food cause it looked like it had been run over in the parking lot. Then saturated in grease. Not to mention that my drink had something black floating in it.

An interesting fast food option I loved the frings. The cheese runza reminded me of the old school made-right. top notch lemonade.

Yummy late lunch on a chilly day! (Take exit 177N off of I-80, second light, on the right.) We don’t see Runza places much where we come from and were intrigued while on the road. A lot of home recipes call this fried hamburger-shredded cabbage mixture surrounded by freshly baked bread a “Krautburger”. The staff, neatly attired in clean workmanlike clothes and speaking fluent English, welcomed us, asking how we were, how was the weather out there, and were very patient while we decided what to order. It’s neat that Runza Restaurants let you have onion rings and french fries without making two separate orders. It’s called “Frings”. The SoBe Life Water (Pomegranate) on tap offered something healthier than the usual soda. This was a very clean place. Staff seemed to enjoy each other’s company, worked efficiently together, and they were all working hard at sweeping and neatening up areas when they weren’t actually preparing or serving food, or taking orders. A great I-80 at North Platte stop. This Runza might want to redo its wall signage behind the counter to correct the grammar of “everyday” to “every day”.
