First time visiting Hot Springs and not from the area. Upon talking to host to be seated, honestly almost left due to rude comment. But decided to give grace and try out the food based on reviews and location. The hostess was quickly apologetic of her comment and she did well serving us as well as they were understaffed that day. After this we had a great time. Outdoor seating was very nice and food was mostly all good. Don’t recommend the salsa starter. At this point we had forgiven the prior entry interaction due to the hostess/server being greatly accommodating and realized she had dry humor. We loved the chicken strips, gumbo, crab cakes and shrimp dip.
Then we got the bill. Multiple things were priced higher than they are written on menu. Drinks that should’ve been included with kids meal (per menu) weren’t and were told at pay of ticket that they were not. Then was told a hamburger included fries/onion rings, yet were charged seperate. Plus there was the automatic added gratuity (which felt a bit steep). Overall, I would recommend eating here based on the food alone but I would definitely confirm food prices before ordering. I would also highly suggest this restaurant update their pricing on their menus to not surprise customers when it’s time to pay.

Liz was an amazing server! Very friendly and welcoming service. Beers are cold and the food is hot! Beautiful patio right in the mountain rocks!

Food prices changed when I got the bill.. asked our waitress why and she said sometimes it goes up because of “market price”. Had ordered crawfish pasta. Price was 14. Got bill and it had turned to 18. Food was mid at best to begin with. Didnt appreciate the sneaky tactics.

We just happened upon this place after eating at another establishment down the road. We saw the karaoke sign and decided to check it out. The upstairs karaoke bar was one of the best bar vibes I have been to in a long time. great mix of patrons: regulars, engagement party group, out of towners, etc. everyone was having a great time. Karaoke DJ kept the fun flowing and the crowd was cheering and singing along to every song. Drink prices were on point and bar food was good. Will definitely be back!

I really wanted to like this place, but it was a disappointment. I kicked myself afterwards because after seeing the flies in the window (3 alive and 2 dead) I should have left….I did not *sigh*. I ordered the gumbo but had to send it back because it was extremely salty. I ordered the etoufe instead, and it was better. We also ordered red beans and rice, which tasted like canned pork n beans. The platter was okay. The service was slow, but the servers were lovely. Approximately 15 minutes after leaving my stomach began hurting and I grew nauseous. Needless to say, I won’t return.

It’s okay. Music is bumping and thumping. Definitely people here. Service is decent – not fast and not slow. Ordered the fish basket four piece. Fish was small pieces and just didn’t have that flavor. The fries were crinkle cut and tasted like the ones from the grocery stores. All in all it was… Okay.
UPDATE 11/24/23
I ordered the fried shrimp basket and the wife had the pasta with creole sauce and chicken. Both were amazing and full of flavor. I highly recommend the pasta with creole sauce. The portion size could be bigger on the pasta but it’s all good. The staff was a little off as it took them forever to seat many people and stay on top of cleaning. Even the simple tasks of refilling drinks seemed hard for them. However, they might have been slammed before we got there. This was at 4 PM.

I was about to order a dish with crawtails, but then I saw the Rueben on the menu. I can’t pass up a Rueben, and I’m glad I didn’t miss this one. It was perfectly executed, crisp but not crunchy. I will be back and I’ll try to order something else, but I know I’ll likely get what I know I love. Maybe I should have mentioned the appetizer first, I was just so impressed with the sandwich I got out of order. Had the shrimp dip to start with and it was fantastic. Had a little bit of a Cajun heat to it, not overpowering, just enough to know it was there. It says it is a oyster sports bar, but I didn’t see any oyster sports. Very well worth the while.

Honestly I just love the atmosphere of this place so much. It’s got this dive bar feel but with a Hot Springs downtown air I just love about it. The patio is awesome with the natural rock mountain being one of the walls outside. There’s even an upstairs that has some pretty fun karaoke and music on the weekends that are guaranteed to leave you with some memories. The inside is smallish but cozy, lovely wood booths and BRING A SHARPIE. Goodness there’s hardly a spot in the place that hasn’t been marked with some name or memento to read. That was probably my biggest let down is I didn’t have a sharpie. That and they were out of gumbo . But the fried trio was awesome and the sauces were great with them. The crinkle cut fries were okay- I wish that they were the real, hand-cut style personally. It would go with the atmosphere and cuisine better. A little gem to put in your pocket if you’d made it this far in my review- Fat Jack is the reason I’m here today. He was the awesome guy who introduced my parents in Texarkana, so I have a lot of love for the guy and only wish he was here with us today. all in all yal, try this place out if anything for the atmosphere and fun beers in a mason jar. Sit outside on a gorgeous day and watch the down town traffic just zip on by.
