The restaurant has plenty of seating, but when we arrived, we were the only guests. The atmosphere is very modest, but the food turned out to be delicious. I’m not an expert in Indian cuisine, but I really enjoyed it – it wasn’t too spicy, everything was fresh, and overall, I was very satisfied. I can honestly recommend it. The only surprise was the bill – €40 per person without alcohol. I’m not sure if that’s expensive for Athens, but given the simple interior, I expected it to be about 20% cheaper.

Had a nice time and enjoyed the meal. Service was very good and portions were fulfilling. Loved the naan bread, rice and sauces. Cheese was tasteless though and the meat was slightly overcooked and dry… especially the chicken. Paid 63 euros for 2 starters, 2 main courses, a rice, bread, two beers and two glasses of wine.
Will go back, and ask to cook the meat a bit less.

Highly recommended. Atmosphere was great and food delicious and freshly cooked in an open kitchen on site. Yanis and Suresh made sure that we had an excellent experience. Many thanks for your customer service

Pros:
1. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
2. Good size portions, value for money.
3. Food was very tasty; they didn’t hold back on the spices for foreigners.
4. Lots of seating and beautiful ambient lighting.

Cons:
1. If you are a “healthy size person” sitting in the chairs, there’s barely enough room to sit comfortably under the table.

Horrible, dirty place. I wanted to go to the toilet but found myself in a filthy corridor leading to the kitchen. The walls were black with dirt and grease. This put me off straight away.

The food was terrible too, cold starters, my supposedly ‘hot’ curry tasted the same as the other 5 curries we ordered and they were supposedly different curries The Naan bread was thick with grease as were the chips. If you’re visiting Athens, give this place a miss. Terrible over all.

We showed up at 7:15 pm; the place was pretty empty except two other tables. We placed our order for 5 dishes at 7:20. Forty minutes later, the dishes came out. The food was tasty, but the portions were small, only a couple pieces of chicken and lamb. Service was friendly; however, super slow!!!

This place has the best Indian food in the whole Europe (according to my experience)with really good hospitality! I loved everything about this place. The chef Mr. Qazi Gurung makes the best Indian food and they served really fresh food (that was really surprising because mostly I’ve eaten precooked heated food in Europe. But this place served the best food. Being an Indian I will definitely recommend people.

Tandouri chicken is a must. We tried the tandoori mixed plate, it contained only 2 of the 4 advertised types. We also tried lamb Tawa Gosht. It was a bit spicy, not mentioned in the menu. The naans are always nice. The portions were small for the price.

We stopped by Jaipur palace for dinner during our short trip to Athens. We ordered veg curry, naan, aloo paratha for mains. The veg curry base was really good but the vegetables didn’t taste fresh. Both the breads were flaky, buttery, and delicious. For the dessert we tried Gulab jamun which tasted more like fried sweet donuts and not like jamuns. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice.
Overall, I would recommend this spot if you are looking for good Indian food in Athens.

Man, as good as the reviews were, this was pretty disappointing in terms of restaurant quality Indian food.

First of all, while they have paneer (cheese) on their menu, they told us that they were out of paneer (this was at around 5pm on a weekday, and they close at midnight).

We ended up getting their mixed platter appetizer. This appetizer has 2 samosas (potato puffs), fried paneer (this must’ve been premade since they were out of paneer), and some fried potato and onion bites. This appetizer was bad. The samosas had absolutely no spices or flavor for the filling, just a bland potato taste. The cheese was old and hard. And the other items again had no flavor. What’s worse is that this restaurant didn’t have any tamarind chutney (a sweet dipping sauce) that is extremely common and almost required to eat these with.

We then got a few entrees – a chicken tikka masala, a bhindhi masala (okra), and a dal makhani (lentils). The chicken and okra dishes are what brings this review up to a 3. These were actually pretty good and I would come here to just get those. The chicken curry was nicely spiced and had a very flavorful and thick sauce. The okra dish had nicely shallow fried okra that was not slimy at all. The dal makhani was just ok but had no flavor.

We also grabbed some rice and a variety of naan. The naan is terrible. This was so crunchy that it was useless to eat it with food. Usually this bread should be very soft, along you to scoop up curries in it to eat. This was just not that. The garlic naan was not fresh and did not have any strong garlic flavor to it. The chili naan doesn’t actually have any spiciness to it. They just use green and red bell peppers!

Now, one great thing about here is that prices are all very reasonable for US standards. However if I had the option to eat here compared to other places we went to on this trip, I would not personally come here again.
