Reviews
We were acknowledged & seated. The waiters were all very nice to us. The atmosphere was lovely. Very clean & welcoming.
My family & I ordered our meals & told them to bring everything out together at the same time (appetizer was my main course)
Everything looked beautiful & our meal was delicious. The servers did check up on us multiple times asking “everything okay?” Which is was so of course we said yes.
The 18% tip is included which is said on the menu so everyone is aware.
Overall I had a nice experience which is good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because my grandmother asked for a 2nd cup of hot tea & the waiter for. I had to ask “how much longer for the tea to be served?” And he politely said “I’m sorry I forgot”
I know there are good reviews & not good ones but I would say try this place out for yourself atleast once & see if you like it. If you don’t then don’t return but my experience was a good one.
The food was good, I ordered encebollado with fish and shrimp which said $23.99 for the one with just fish and then the added cost of the shrimp plus the bottle of water came out to $43.33. Not sure how but for this reason I wouldn’t recommend this place. When I placed the order they had not told me or listed on the menu the additional price for shrimp. It was extremely overpriced. $4.75 for a bottle of water?? My Spanish is limited and they don’t speak English and I wanted a free glass of water. This is a standard $1 bottle of Dasani water. DO NOT COME HERE
Last time I went in was about 8 years ago if not more..still as good as then when it comes to taste. Order a drink called manzana o order a drink called tropical..I like both..
However, my husband and I were craving Ecuadorian food, so we gave it a try. He got so sick that he said he would never return to this place! Yesterday February 20, 2024, I wanted to give a second chance to this restaurant and brought my mother. The food wasn’t bad this time. However, we finished eating and the waitress took our cards, my mom asked her for “Queso Chonero”. We got two pieces for $26, the waitress a Salvadorian lady never brought the check, but she since she took our cards she decided to charge our cards, when we did the math things were not making sense, we requested her to bring the original check. She brought the check, and we realized she added the cheese on our original check to get more on a tip, since is an “automatic” 20% tip. Very convenient to add $26 MORE to get a bigger percentage for her tip! She thought we were not going to realize what she did. That’s not being smart, that’s stealing. that’s illegal! It’s like we go to the supermarket to get cheese and get charged 20% for buying cheese. she acted like we were saying something crazy and said the system doesn’t let her make any return. We were wondering how many people have done that? Many people don’t check the check. So sad to receive this service and see they take advantage. We will never be back!
