Visited the Wonder Bar yesterday, it’s a fantastic bar. The staff are very helpful and chatty. The food is very nice too. But the memorabilia was very interesting. Pictures of Bruce Springsteen and other artists. There was also a band setting up for night which was cool to listen to

Great place to see a show, but scheduling was off as advertised. On tickets was stated open at 6pm. We got there early at 5:20 just in case. As people showed up in cold weather we were all left outside till about 6:45 pm.

I wanted to really give this place 5 stars as I always remember coming here and having a great time. My most recent visit I brought along 4 people and we all thought the experience we had was OK. The location is awesome, the drinks are OK and the services is fair.
Location has nice big outdoor patio. Drinks a bit pricey.
They also do a variety of live performances, see pictures to see the stage.

Sister bar of the Stone Pony! Great place to stop for a drink and listen to some music if you are visiting Asbury Park. Place is rich in musical history and definitely worth a visit.

The Wonder Bar is not so Wonderful. A good group attended after the turkey dash 5k which stated all ages were welcomed. We attended with our daughter who left their id no problem they don’t want to drink anyway…but as a 43 year old who looks older than 21 to be asked for id several times when they didn’t ask my friends who had a different skin tone is a problem for me. They made it clear we would have to sit outside no problem we were just celebrating completing our 5k and raising money for Special Olympics. Definitely didn’t feel welcomed at the Wonder Bar.

The other week, my girlfriend and I visited Asbury Park and the surrounding towns for the first time for 3 days. We were on an unofficial tour of the towns, childhood homes, and bars/music venues where Bruce Springsteen grew up and got his start. So of course, we had to stop by the legendary Wonder Bar! I had seen photos before, but it was awesome being there in person for the first time! We loved the atmosphere and vibe of the whole place. We were particularly impressed with the staff. Everyone we came into contact with from the doorman to the bartender to the man and woman selling merch were friendly and professional. I wish I made a point of getting the names of the two employees who sold us the t-shirts, hoodie, tumbler, and magnets we bought, as they gave us outstanding customer service! The gentleman was older and had black hair and the lady was younger and had black hair, blue eyes, and glasses. Both were very personable, funny, and patient as I debated which size t-shirt and hoodie to purchase. I have OCD, so it can be a bit of a “process” before I ultimately settle on a size, style, etc. I hope their manager reads this because they deserve a raise for going above and beyond by making us feel so welcome and that we had their undivided attention. We plan on returning next summer or fall to catch a show and visit our new friends at the Wonder Bar. Thank you so much for helping to make our short but amazing trip to the Jersey shore everything we hoped it would be and more!

I’m extremely disappointed in the way our friends, my partner, me and all of our dogs were treated at this establishment. They made a huge deal of it being a fun and friendly space for our dogs to get to run around, make friends, and enjoy the day. It was also supposed to be the last weekend prior to demolition. However, after charging us $20 dollars for entry and $10 for parking, within 2 mins of our dogs being off leash they rudely came up to us, asking us to make sure our dogs weren’t excited. Excuse me but what dog isn’t going to be excited in that environment, especially when let off leash? Then kept coming up telling us our dogs shouldn’t be excited. I’m sorry but us having to hold our dog’s collars and keep them next to us defeated the purpose of us being there. It was extremely uncomfortable and a disappointment. We chose to leave rather than subject our dogs to that treatment. Not that it matters since it will be demolished after this weekend anyway, but I would never in a million years tell anyone to go there. Instead, I’d highly suggest against it. Find a place that is way more dog friendly and doesn’t want only senior dogs or tiny dogs there. If I could have given it a negative ten I would have.

I went there for supporting a friend’s performance. He’s in the band & he’s playing that night. First time for me there, I thought it’s just for show performance. So I had dinner at the restaurant across the street. Therefore I cannot comment the food or service there, so don’t refer to that part. Just based on the atmosphere there & so many people crowded in, I believe the food & service must at least worth 4-star. Hahaha. Anyway, the band was amazing, the performance was loved by the audience. Surfing For Daisy is the band’s name. You can find them on YouTube too. They play great music! And such an enjoyment to indulge yourself in it.
