The buffet runs until 3pm, and I arrived a bit after 2 to an entirely empty restaurant, not what I would consider to be a good sign usually, but this let me get some pictures without people at least.
I tried everything at the buffet table, and the food was pretty decent, some things were good, some things were meh, but nothing was bad to a point where I couldn’t finish it. I was actually quite surprised by the fish curry, which I am usually not a fan of, but in this case was quite tasty.
There is also dessert, and ice cream included, but I’m not a fan of rice pudding or gulab jamuns, so I just had a bit. The only ice cream left over was vanilla which I also skipped.
The quality was typical for a buffet, no complaints at all. I would have no trouble recommending this place.
This place seems like maybe too good a deal at this price. Even if the price doesn’t increase, I’m not sure how sustainable it will be in the long term, especially since I was the only person there at the time.
All in all, the restaurant was nice and clean, the waitress was friendy and helpful, the music was not too loud, and the selection was amazing for the price. For 15 bucks, you can’t really go wrong here.
Butter chicken was really good as well as the goat curry and the pakoras were really tasty. They also have ice cream (mango and chocolate). Excellent value at $13 lunch time until May 15th.
Interior was nice as well with a modern twist. The only CON was the men’s washroom didn’t have soap and it was a bit messy.
Overall, this is a decent place to get some Indian food. I haven’t tried their main dining menu yet, but for now I think I’ll stick to their lunch buffet because it’s good value.
Update – We visited again for buffet dinner and were surprised by the improvements in the taste of same food offered. Service was somewhat slow but no annoyence. House wine was good too. We were celebrating a birthday and experience was good overall.
The buffet food was cold, tasted bad, and looked like it had been sitting there for a long time. After we complained, the server did try her best and offered to bring 2 veg and 2 non-veg dishes to the table, which we appreciated—but the problem wasn’t the service. The food itself was just not good.
We paid $28 per person, and the bill came to $161 for 4 adults and 1 child. For that price, the quality was unacceptable. It felt like we were paying premium prices for something that barely met cafeteria standards.
What’s frustrating is that we had a similar experience last year. Since this is a nearby restaurant, we decided to give it another chance, hoping things would be better. Unfortunately, nothing had changed.
I’m not asking for a refund, and I almost never leave bad reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I felt I should share it. This will definitely be our last visit.
Paying premium prices for cafeteria-level food.
