It must be the location cause the food is not. I come from Dallas and was told that oriental house was the best… so disappointed. The photos should speak for themselves. I started at peak garden. Up to Walmart. My own experience is good, bad and trying to keep up. That last picture was what was brought out after I asked for better lo being noodle.. what do you think?

The Oriental House always was one of my favorite restaurants in Neosho, but it seems to be going downhill a bit lately. The last few times I got takeout, the food was cold and the crab rangoons were soft. The price has also increased drastically, I don’t really think it’s worth it anymore.

The new owners have eliminated several menu items. The crab Rangoon had no crab in it. The egg rolls were warm, not hot. The chicken was very dry and not tasty. About the only decent food item was the tea.

They have everything I want from a Chinese buffet! I went with my family for lunch and we had a table right away even though they were busy. Everything on the buffet was fresh. It seemed like the food all had a little bit more flavor than I usually expect from a Chinese place – the chicken dishes all had some veggies mixed in instead of just chicken and sauce. Also, the lunch buffet was really affordable – my husband and I had all we could eat for $15 (total)!

The Oriental House here in Neosho, Missouri is lookin’ sharp as ever. Met the perentals for some super fine dinning. Ok, it’s buffet or a regular menu but it’s got lots of the good stuff and a dessert I enjoy lots. The tiramisu I think is what it’s called. I usually just call it delicious. Establish in January of 1998, this is a staple of my childhood. It makes me happy that it still stands and is going strong to this day. They totally have a few spots at this restaurant for capturing the moment too.

So, this is a buffet. Please keep that in mind. The reviews that are 2 stars do have some warrant. The fried rice is basically steamed, not fried. This is true. The general chicken and the soo chicken are on point with flavor. Sushi was good their is eel sauce on the buffet. Sausage has an interesting flavor. Beef and mushrooms have a great flavor. Combination brocolli, great flavor. Egg rolls were good, and pot stickers are really good. Fried shrimp was good. Lo mein noodles were just ok. Service was slow only because they are so busy.

I came here yesterday with my family. They have a fairly good selection on food. I loved the general chicken, noodles, and sushi. Everything had a ton of delicous flavor. For dessert, my favorite place to be was at the ice cream machine. It had the option of chocolate, vanilla, or twist. I got twist and topped it off with crunchy colorful sprinkles and a light drizzle of chocolate syrup. Underneath my ice cream I placed a little cake piece which just made everything taste so much better. I will definitely be coming back here again soon. The waiters were really nice as well. When you first enter, there is a fountain and you can throw coins in it. All of those coins are donated to an animal shelter which I think is really nice <3
