We had a party of 9 and planned on going to Tops Diner before a concert at Prudential Center on Valentine’s Day. They weren’t taking reservations and when we got there, the wait time was going to be close to 2 hours, time we did not have. A quick internet search brought us to Pic-Nic. My husband called and spoke to the owner, I believe his name was John, and explained our situation and that we had 2 disabled people in our party. He made sure we had a parking spot and sat us right away. Needless to say, the food and service were excellent. Will definitely be back

My husband and I come here one or twice every quarter. Our go to are: clams casino and fried calamari (apps). The churrasco is a miss or hit. First time, it was great along with the baked potato. Today, ehhhhh a bit chewy and potato lacked flavor. Same with chicken pasta dish, it was delicious. Second time around it was just not it!
On the other hand, the mariscada or paella is always good. Carlos is amazing! The guys appear serious, but are nice.

We had our 2nd event here at Picnic and the staff was amazing just as the first time we were here 5 years ago. We dealt with Carlos who did a great job with communication and making my little girls communion day a great one. They are very accommodating and exceeded my expectations. Will definitely return.

This place was absolutely amazing. The ambience and the service was absolute perfection. Carlos took really good care of us, and insured that we were taken care of accordingly, regardless of how many tables he had to manage. The food was absolutely outstanding. My dad first put me on this restaurant by its delicious, fresh takeout food. We’d typically order octopus or whole fish. My parents decided to take us out for our birthday and it was not a disappointment. I felt like I was in Portugal without actually traveling there and it’s a home away from home from the moment you walk in.

I ordered food to go and told the guy specifically to give me penne pasta with vodaka sauce and grilled chicken and got plain spaghetti with chicken for 30 bucks that I could’ve made home. Complete disaster. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The food super salty.

Their takeout is plentiful and excellent quality. We got the Cosido for one person and 3 ate comfortably. We also got their roast veal, codfish dishes and others. All great value and lots of good food. Definitely our future takeout place. Added photo of the cosido we got another day. Such fantastic value. Updated with meals in the restaurant. Delicious
