First time eating here, but will not be the last!! Great atmosphere, friendly regulars and a great staff that were eager to show us the ropes of this place. I highly recommend trying this place out if you love a good meat and veggies style establishment. My wife ordered the chili with grilled cheese and it was amazing!! Like I said, we will be coming back!

One of the few mom and pop places left to eat.and enjoy personal services. Food was great and there was so much to choose from. Come check.it out , I think you will agree it’s a nice place . Pricing, along the same.lines as other eating places, but, I would much.rather come to a restaurant like this than a chain stores. There is more trust that what you get to eat is correctly done! We ate here again and it was great . The meats and the vegetables are given in large portions, we couldn’t finish all of it! Come and try it

We meet our cousin here for lunch one Sunday. The amount of food they give you, your sure not to leave hungry! They do a buffet style. I got the chicken and dressing, Mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole, a roll and sweet tea it was less than $20 and it was well worth it. Two people could have ate off of it for the amount of food you got. The staff was friendly and personal. Good down home cooking!

I had high hopes for this place. The employees were absolute dolls!! But my goodness the food was kinda horrible. Mac and cheese had NO flavor. Tilapia instead of catfish? Candied yams were way over spiced. Bread was cold and hard. Have no idea how its rated so high. Once again, the workers were very welcoming and friendly, but the food was NOT GOOD!!!

Places like this are getting harder and harder to find.
We heard about this place from some friends of ours and stopped in for lunch on our way down to Mobile.
I had fried chicken, lima beans, turnip greens, mac & cheese, and jalapeno cornbread. Everything was good, but them lima beans stood out to me, they had really good flavor.
Beware the jalapeno cornbread is spicy, just how I like it.
Take a chance, get off the beaten path and away from chain restaurants. Support local.
Definitely will stop when we’re in the area.

I ordered two catfish filets today and when I got it home it was pink inside. Took it back and they gave me more but it is pink inside and very chewy. They said got different catfish this time and it looks pink inside. I am going to throw it away since it looks and smells different. Wasted money but at least I won’t run a risk of getting sick!!

This is the small town family Restaurant then everybody loves to visit. We go out of our way to visit the White House Restaurant because it offers the ability to order from the menu or go through the serving line and they will serve you a meat and three vegetables or two vegetables whichever you prefer and the good home cooking it’s about as good as you could ever get. It tastes like I’ve Revisited Grandma’s house with the best lima beans, Brussels sprouts, salmon patties and hamburger steaks just among the few great items they serve along with huge handmade burgers. Great food and great service definitely five stars.
