As the leaders in drive-thru for over 30 years Checkers & Rally’s locations are currently open and ready to serve our guests. We can provide our guests with the additional safety of an enclosed kitchen and limited personal contact – whether you choose to drive up, order ahead online, or have our food delivered. In response to concerns around the Coronavirus we have closed the few dining rooms that exist in the Checkers & Rally’s system and are limiting the number of people on our patio and at our walk-up windows. We are reinforcing our policies, including frequent and proper handwashing, along with the proper utilization and changing of gloves as we continue to serve our guests.

I am so disappointed to write this review because the food was so great. We came here around 8 on New Years Day. This location has a double drive thru. It has a few tables for outside seating. Not a lot of parking but we quickly found a spot. I got online at 810. There were only 3 visible workers at the time. One of them was on her phone instead of helping customers or her two co-workers. They would take an order, then close the window for long periods of time. There were only 3 people ahead of us in line. I suggested to go to Burger King in the next plaza but was told we already waited 20 minutes and should stick it out. I didn’t order until 835 when a fourth worker appeared to start taking orders continuously. I didn’t get my order until 858. I don’t know if they were understaffed or there was an issue I was unaware of. 48 minutes to get fast food? This had to have been the longest I have waited. The fourth employee could tell the customers were annoyed and did her best to keep people calm and the line moving.
The only reason I stayed was the food which was amazing. They have great prices and options of food their competitors don’t have. I got the Pretzel Pubster combo and Cheesesteak Bites. The bites were awesome. The burger was really good and just the right amount of greasy. The “pretzel” bun was ok. Didn’t really taste like a pretzel bun unless they ran out and they didn’t use the correct bun. The fries were crispy and had great seasoning. If you’re hungry, order a large. I didn’t realize it was a small meal. My small coke was more of an ice cup with a splash of Coke. Not a lot of soda in it. To recap the food and pricing was great. The service for whatever reason was lacking.

I love checkers. I grew up my parents working at checkers.Even my dad worked in the tampa. Big buildings programming all the screens. They just need more employees at this location. They blocked the drive through, but do pick up orders in one and then walk up. Each time I’ve gotten my food. It’s completely wrong today. I didn’t receive my funnel fries. I ordered a big Buford with an extra Patty. But they only gave me a double cheeseburger. Please just send them more employees they need help.

Terrible food. None of the order was right. This is just part of the order. The burgers didn’t have bacon. Our root beers had no syrup and was carbonated water. 100 down the drain with door dash being included. What a way to start our vacation here in Florida. Smh

I wished I had read the reviews before going, but it was late and we needed something to eat after a long day traveling by plane to Florida. The drive thru was awful to talk to an automated attendant that couldn’t answer my questions about the menu. It was my first time eating at a Checkers, so I was not familiar and my 8 year old only wanted ketchup on her burger. After ordering, the kid at the window gave me a different total then the automated attendant did, so I repeated the order to make sure I was getting what I needed. The total ended up even more than it was supposed to. He handed me more drinks than I had ordered and said that is what was on the order. Then i was told to drive back around to the other side of the drive thru to pick up the rest of my food order. Finally after patiently waiting, received my food and off I went. Get back to the hotel and I had more fries than I had ordered. NO WONDER MY BILL WAS SO HIGH! The food was very good, so that helped ease the frustration, but next time I pass the Wendys I passed before getting to Checkers, I will B Line it to their place before ever attending a Checkers again.

One of the standout features of this location was its new AI ordering system. It was super cool and incredibly helpful, making the ordering process smooth and efficient. It quickly took my order without any issues, which was a pleasant surprise. However, while the AI was impressive, the staff’s attitude left something to be desired. They were chatting loudly among themselves while we were trying to speak to them, even laughing while we were placing our order. When we needed something repeated, they seemed reluctant to do so, which was frustrating.
That being said, the food was absolutely amazing. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned—one of the best I’ve had from any fast-food chain. The toppings were fresh, the bun was perfectly toasted, and every bite was delicious. On top of that, the ice cream was fantastic—rich, creamy, and the perfect way to finish off the meal.
Overall, this Checkers delivered on taste but fell short on customer service. The AI ordering system was a game-changer, but the staff could be more respectful and attentive. If they improve their service, this location would be nearly perfect!

Ordered online, app said order was ready, walked up to window, was ignored, watched as they took fries from bags and other foods from other bags to give out at drive thru. Finally knocked to get someone to come to window, was told my order was waiting on fries. Then waited at pickup another 30 minutes to be ignored continuously, knocked on window multiple times, but they were only worried with helping drive thru and door washers. Asked to cancel order and was told they couldnt help and still couldnt tell me what was happening with my order. So I walked off and will have to wait for corporate to refund the payment. Miserable restaurant and incompetent workers.

This was my first time at this location. I ordered online. Pickup time was for 1:50pm. I went to the window at 1:50 and I was told they were running a little slow. What didn’t make sense to me was that they had received my order 10 minutes previously. While waiting at pickup time 15 minutes went by after they took orders from the drive through and walk up windows. I should have just ordered in person. The food was good, the burgers were delicious the only snag was the staff. Avoid contact less ordering.

Probably the worst fast food experience I have had period. First off the dark lady taking my order barely understood English making it very difficult to order, along with terrible attitude every time I asked for another item. then to add insult to injury I got to sit down and only to find out I had the wrong sauce and when we went back up she barely understood what I was asking of “her”. Worst experience period. Food wasn’t the worst but sub par for the chain will not eat here again.
