Their pokes have NO fishy smell, great texture (almost melts in your mouth), and well thought out flavors. You order the poke by weight. I recommend getting 1/4 – 1/2 lb to start. This place is a local gem that we will continue to support
Must Tries:
• Poke bowl w/
* Ahi Shoyu (umami and sweet)
* Hawaiian Blend (sweet and salty)
* Spicy Shoyu
* Wasabi Shoyu
* Firecracker Ahi
* Salmon Poke
* Old School Ahi (simple)
• Ahi Katsu plate
We have tried a ✨variety✨ of their pokes since it’s always something new when we return back to Oahu. The workers are always kind and welcoming every time we visit. Especially the older granny – very humble and happy. All the must tries are hits and you will not be disappointed. WE LOVE FRESH CATCH.
Honolulu location —
* Few dedicated parking spot
* Be mindful there might not be an open spot of park — may have to wait OR find street parking
* No dine-in — we go to this location often since we can take our food to to our place to devour their food in private
Disclaimer: This review has been posted twice for both locations w/ slight differences since it’s quality of food and service are the exact same — 5 out of 5 ⭐️
The dining experience is great too very clean and nice people working there!
I will definitely go back next time.
Portions are very generous, too. You easily end up with leftovers, and somehow it tastes just as good later. That’s how you know the quality is real.
The vibe inside is exactly what you want from a true fresh market — nothing fake or commercial. You see the fish, smell the freshness, and feel that authentic local energy. It’s not trying too hard, it’s just good. Real. Honest. And delicious.
One of my favorite parts is the auntys who work there. They always show love, always greet you with warmth, and make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it makes every visit feel special.
If there’s any downside, it’s only that they close early, so you have to plan your day around it — but honestly, it’s worth adjusting your schedule. When something is this fresh and this good, you make the time.
Overall, this is absolutely a must-try spot for anyone who loves quality seafood, generous portions, and genuine aloha-style service. I’ll keep coming back again and again.
My fav is the seared ahi with aioli
They are nice, they changed the furikake seared ahi with rice to salad
