The location is great, spacious, indoor and outdoor seating. Seating areas were well kept and clean. Take was spotless, everything needed for meal was on the table for salt pepper etc.
I’ll preface this by saying i spent 10 years in el paso so I’m picky about Mexican food. This visit i only chose appetizers .
Ordered chips and salsa first. It was good, I wouldn’t call it outstanding. The salsa wasn’t anything I couldn’t buy in a grocery store – 4/5.
Chips were fine.
Ordered elote, and it also was fine. 3.5/5
Ordered the shrimp ceviche, i didn’t care for the shrimp as it was really hard.
The dishes just were not what I had hoped for but alas I was hungry so ate most everything. Good Mexican food is hard to find in Florida!
Watching other patrons, I think their more authentic mexican food would have been a better choice. I’ll go back again just to try that. Flavor was good for everything- just not GREAT.
Staff was outstanding. Friendly, efficient, service was great, timely. Loved how clean the restaurant was.
In the area:
Not far away is Canaveral National Seashore which was the day trip before this stop. It’s a great day to walk the funds and watch the wind surfers! This restaurant is in an large outdoor mall.
The food here is above average. Our food came out quickly and was hot upon arrival. My plate had a hair in it. I noticed it on the second bite. I informed the waitress and she brought me a new plate very quickly.
Prices were a bit high, but not high enough to discourage us. The food was worth their asking price.
I am a veteran so I always ask if their is a vet discount. I’m perfectly fine if there is not one. What upset me about this place is our bill came to $68. We tipped $15. Our server informed us that there was a vet discount and it was for $1. Yes, a $1 discount. Just my opinion, but I believe it was an insult. No worries. Their establishment, their policies. We will not be returning. Just say, “No, we do not have a Veteran’s Discount.” We are fine with that. $1?! Ok, you do you.
I hear the watermelon margaritas are outstanding! I’ll definitely be back to try one. Stop in and say “hola” to the crew!
