Didn’t expect much for an Indian restaurant in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, but my husband and I (both South Asian) were mind-blown! We went for lunch on a weekday and there was only one other person there so we were hesitant but glad we saw it through. We got chicken bhuna masala and bullet naan and it was one of the best meals we ever had. We loved it so much that we came back the next day for dinner and ordered more food! We got biryani this time, which was alright. But the stars were the desserts, we got the carrot halwa and bread pudding, both absolutely incredible. This is the place to get AUTHENTIC and flavorful Indian food. Just sad that we can’t taste it again until we visit Costa Rica again :/

This was our Last night in Costa Rica and it was also my bday so my GF and I decided to try Naans & Curries. It was everything we needed for a special occasion. Everything we tried was extremely delicious (we had chicken & veggie samosas, butter chicken, tikka masala chicken and garlic naan). The staff also had exceptional service and was extremely friendly.
I also got a cake!!!
I highly recommend!!!

As their tagline says, it truly was the best authentic/ethnic Punjabi food we’ve had in a long time. Everything from the ambience to the snacks they offered, the food, and the service was absolutely top-notch. We tried their naans, kadai paneer, samosas, salt lassi, and even the kids’ pasta, every single item was delicious. If you’re looking for truly authentic Indian food with great ambience and excellent service in Tamarindo, this place is a must-visit. Highly, highly recommended.

This was some of the best Indian cuisine I have ever tasted and the service was impeccable!
I had the Broccoli and Almond Soup, Thai Coco Curry with Tofu along with their Cauliflower Rice. All was excellent. The service was excellent with Emelia and Harvey.

This place is top notch, the lamb was extremely tender, delicious and not fatty. My dish was excellent and the chef even made a special exception and added lamb to my dish that was not offered for that dish. My drink the Mantra was also delicious. Ambiance is a 10. They offer two rooms one is air-conditioning and one is the open fresh air. Service was outstanding. Great value for the money.

My partner and I (both from England) ate here on our first night in Tamarindo and we were not disappointed! The food was beautifully seasoned which hit the spot and a lovely change from the Costa Rican dishes we’ve had during our travels. The restaurant has a great vibe, stylish decor and very attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Wow. Best kept secret of Tama. I come to Costa Rica once a year every year for the last 5 years and have eaten all the nice places in Tama.. but this, is, the, BEST. Hands down.
I sat at the bar and ended up having a great discussion with the manager during my amazing dinner. And let me share something.. The food is authentic. The chef is Indian and majority of their menu, if not all of it, is all made in house. No shortcuts. They make their own paneer and even their own kulfi(ice cream)!
I ordered the Chicken Tika Trio, the butter chicken, palak paneer, with a side order of onions, and finished with a desert of pistachio icecream/kulfi. I might even go again tomorrow

I had a wonderful experience at Naans & Curries in Tamarindo! The food is excellent, the Tandoori Chicken was absolutely the best, and the seekh Kebab was equally delicious.
We did have a slight delay in our order due to a printer issue in the kitchen, but the manager, Harbhajan Singh, was incredibly apologetic, honest, and accommodating throughout. I really appreciate his professionalism and warmth.
Despite the minor delay, the quality of the food and the service will make this restaurant one I will definitely return to. Highly recommended!
