Delicious seafood with pretty view

Loved the food and service here. Grilled mussels were the best I’ve ever tasted anywhere. Grilled Menorcan prawns were the best I’ve ever had. Squid and quinoa was sublime. The service was impeccable. Every single thing was on point. A bit outside the main area, so we were able to get in most days without an issue.

It was truly a delightful experience. The food was amazing. We had tomato and tuna salad, Mahon cheese croquettes, octopus ensaladilla and tuna buns (which were an fantastic surprise); and of course the lobster caldereta. We ordered 3 for 5 people, and it was plenty! At the end we had the cheese cake. We also had a bottle of wine for the table. Totally recommend it and worth it.

Highly recommend the artichoke starter the tuna brioche was also great.
The lobster stew was a very messy experience as we needed to crack the lobster shells ourselves while they were plunged in the soup. And also taste was not as great as expected.

It is lovely and great food standard. If you are lucky enough to go in low season you can enjoy those beautiful tables on the sea with the great service crossing the street for you. Fish is a must we had a rocabolla (turbot) con patata which was delicious and so fresh. Also postres very interesting con los tres leches and cinnamon. Great wine selection also add to this place in lovely fornells. Muy bien !

Unfortunately I was expecting a better experience. I ordered pulpo a la gallega and it was mostly hard and not that tasty. I had the best one once in sevilla and once in San Juan de puerto rico. The pulpo here at Es Cranc Pelut was below bar. Great the desserts, especially the poster de queso.. the brownies of the restaurant for me, who I lived in the US for a decade, is a no.
I also asked some info regarding the nightlife in Fornelles and I was told by the staff that everything is closed around 10pm. Not true… everything is more than opened and vibrant until past midnight. Maybe it would be a great idea to skip this restaurant and go directly to the central area of the port.
