Beautiful Sunday, the rib tips are the best in town, the sauce is on fire, very little fat on the bones are tangy too. The man who took our order was very polite and helpful with deciding what was best for my taste.

My grandparents knew Mr. Woody before he moved his business to Slauson Ave. at the current location. The food has been very delicious for more than 5 decades of my life. I am so happy that this Bar B Que business is still making great Bar B Que.

The BBQ is good; however, the service is extremely slow. We arrived at 1045 and left at 1435. The older man passing out numbers on the day before Memorial Day needs to retire. I waited 2 hours in line and thirty minutes to get 2 1 lb. Rib tips and 1 small end dinner with double beans, which is a total of 2.5 hours. I saw people leave…additionally, most people were older who were standing in line. Some people have bad feet, a bad back, can’t get off of the floor if they have to sit down, and can not stand this long. I would say there is disorganization, and It is imperative to get the business in order to retain customers. Thankful for the young Latino gentleman for finally moving the line this day.

I came here last Saturday night and I had a great experience. The young lady who works there is so patience getting everyone’s orders . She was really nice and kept her cool in a fast paced environment. Props to WOODY’S for hiring her.
The food was GREAT as well ! Mac and cheese was so good ! Highly recommend it.
I didn’t like their corn bread tho.( they served it really cold)

My food was Great. The wait was a little longer than I anticipated. It’s a cash only establishment. So make sure you have cash my chicken dinner was really delicious. Prepared perfectly. Wasn’t dry. The rib tips were good as well. I also ordered the sliced beef sandwich with mixed sauce. I was really happy with my purchases.

This is probably the best bbq in the area I do come here to eat when ever I’m in the area. If I working in the area I do ask people local here where’s a good bbq spot and they always recommend this location. The chicken sandwich is fire! you can take the smoke and their sauce they use is beyond good! Their beef hot links is really spicy so be careful with that if you can’t handle spicy food. Look I highly recommend this bbq you have to try it!

Sliced beef and pork ribs were outstanding. Chicken was flavorful and moist, just not a fan of bbq chicken. Beef links were spicy.

Someone on my flight to LA recommended that I try Woody’s. One orders at the counter and then waits for their food. They only accept cash. It is take out only and there are no tables to sit down. I waited about 20 minutes. I ordered sliced beef with cole slaw, beans, and collard greens. I wanted yams but there were none that day. The beef had a great flavor and the greens were good. I did not enjoy the coleslaw and the muffin that came with the greens. I was too full to try the beans. My companion ordered the ribs. He said that they were nothing to brag about. Overall, I would try them again.

I heard about this place, so I decided to try it out. First off, maybe hiring someone else with much better customer service, especially if she’s your first point of contact, (girl at the window.) Second, my “mild” barbecue sauce wasn’t mild, it was bland mixed with regrets . Third, my chicken tasted as if it was reheated, and the potato salad was definitely store purchased. All in all, I’ll probably go back! (LOL joke) seriously, I won’t be returning.
