Social Profile:

The Seaview Restaurant is a destination venue offering the best seafood experience. A place to enjoy Saltburn-by-the-Sea’s long stretch of golden sands, dramatic cliffs, historic Victorian pier and, of course, exceptional food and service. Following a complete refurbishment and extension, we are proud to have a venue that is certain to make you feel like you’ve been whisked away – with unrivalled views of the sea. Our new team of chefs offer unique dishes created from the freshest seafood landed from the surrounding waters each day; including the famous Crab Brioche eaten by Fred Sirieix and Nadiya Hussain when we featured on BBC’s Remarkable Places To Eat. We also serve fish and chips – a seaside staple.

Relaxed locale serving breakfast staples, seafood plates & desserts, plus patio seating & sea views.

First time visiting here – will definitely be returning.

Outstanding fish & chips to take out!
My partner and I had 2 x regular fish & chips, a drink each, 1 x curry sauce, 1 x mushy peas and 1 x gravy, this totalled £32 which in today’s climate served on a sea front is very reasonable I think (we’ve certainly paid more and it’s been know-where near as nice).
As you can see they’re not shy on portion sizes. The fish was definitely fresh (tasted amazing), chips fresh, peas and curry sauce were tasty and hot, and being a Yorkshire man I had to have gravy on my chips! The gravy was thick, meaty and very tasty.
Absolutely delicious food.

A new favourite of ours, highly recommend this chippy. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Random trip to Saltburn on a bored Saturday. Restaurant was full when we arrived at 1ish. We left our nr but returned after 35mins and we were seated. Lovely staff, great service. Crab brioche was excellent, could’ve eat 2. Kids had fish and chips (which I finished) and the better half had the scampi. All food was good and would defo visit again.

Beautiful restaurant and lovely staff. Very friendly and cheery. Food, was amazing, the oysters, crab brioche and chocolate fondue is highly recommended as just delicious! Had my dog with me so we enjoyed the terrace and sunshine. Dog treats and water for furry friends is also a lovely touch, Bandit even got a birthday sausage!. Cannot wait to come back in summer. Loved it! Thank you xx

This is a review for the Seaview Chippy, as we bought takeout.
We managed to get takeout later in the day when the queues subsided. Always busy so always a good sign for good fish and chips.

The fish was tasty.
The chips were tasty.
The Curry sauce was tasty.
Good quality fish and chips.

However, the portion size to cost ratio is where it loses stars for me. Cost is on the high end at £12 (in regional experience (bigger and cheaper in Whitby) and the portion size is probably as small as I’ve seen for takeaway fish and chips with the fish no longer than a fork.

Great fish and chips but needs to be a £1-2 cheaper, or bigger portion.

We had such a lovely lunch at Seaview Restaurant with great views over the beach. The crab brioche was delicious and beautifully presented. Also had the oysters which were really nice. It’s a little bit expensive but certainly not over priced as everything tasted great and the seafood is such high quality. It’s also family friendly with good children’s menu. There was a queue quite early as lunch is walk-in only and for evening meals you definitely need to book in advance but you can see why it is so popular!

Just amazing! We went for lunch to celebrate a birthday. It was a miserable day so the Seaview was quiet. We were lucky to have a window seat so we’re able to take in the view of the pier. Saw a lone fisherman on the end of the pier despite the weather. The service was excellent and couldn’t fault the food. Perfect birthday treat!

We had the Whitebait starter, Cod and chips and the Crab brioche after queuing for 30 mins which we would give a 7-8 out of 10.
Atmosphere was a 9 so would recommend.

Quit simply the classiest restaurant I’ve ever been to.
It was a lovely day and you could sit in sun or shade.
There was a quiet and relaxed atmosphere and the dogs were comfy too.
Everything was perfect and the waiting-on staff were all so brilliant and impeccably turned out.
Though slightly pricey it was worth every penny.
I’m sure it was just as good inside, but it’s outdoors for us as much as possible.
This is a must visit, not to be missed.

We visited for a quick bite to eat around 2pm, it was rather busy but the wait was only around 5-10 minutes to have food cooked to order.

The chips are cooked in beef dripping, however they offered to cook us fries in vegetable oil as an alternative.

Lovely venue inside, great appearance and clean. Friendly staff and great queuing system.

I plan to come back to visit the ‘sit in’ restaurant upstairs.
