Reviews
I live nearby and have been coming to Oysteria since it first opened, so this review honestly makes me sad to write.
Back then, they used to serve complimentary bread at the table — I believe it was focaccia — and it was genuinely delicious, and that makes me want to revisit everytime. (I must admit that could be long time ago, but that is how it left a good impression to me before) and I have to say I haven’t been sit in to dine for a while/ I do often order through deliveroo- however for today’s visit, it was a complete letdown.
For today, we visit around 6pm and were told cocktails and beer was half price for happy hour, so I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. After the meal, I ended up with a headache, (it is way too obvious as I had this experience drinking bad alcohol and had headache straightaway after) which really made me question the quality or strength of the alcohol being used.
Now to the food — shockingly overrated for the price. I ordered the octopus pasta (Linguine alla Luciana) and crab linguine, and honestly, is this a joke? (see photo). The sauce tasted like the lowest-quality supermarket jar, and the octopus had the unmistakable texture and flavor of being frozen. The picture justified the portion and the presentation of the food. That cost £23. Crab linguine taste better, but I don’t have much comment, due to the looks of the octopus pasta and the starter weren’t as great- did not impress by the presentation, content has only two piece of fried fish, whitebait, 4 squid, two prawns and lots of zucchini
I used to be a regular, but this visit was a massive disappointment: overpriced food, poor quality, and leaving not only unsatisfied but with a headache. I’m really disheartened that this is not the place it used to be.
I asked them do me a favor for adding a bday sign on the dessert cake. Super nice chocolate words and bday song music. The staff Shakh is pretty nice and helpful on it. Love the dessert! Wonderful night in Oysteria.
Our server, Viktoria, was extremely friendly and helpful.
Would love to come again!
Everything was perfect.
Good food quality and super fresh.
I had 2 plates of oyster just for myself.
Definitely we will go back 🙂
