The Juicy Crab® story starts long before the opening of the Duluth, Georgia, first corporate restaurant in 2015. The Chen family’s inspiration ultimately came from New Orleans and the world travels of Grandfather Chen. Grandfather Chen was a sailor who traveled the world learning many different styles and ways of cooking seafood. One of the main influences that every family member loved was the New Orleans style of cooking seafood. Today, Juicy Crab Franchise has over 40 restaurants throughout the United States and is a market leader in the seafood restaurant service market.

The good?
The food was delicious
The bad?
It wasn’t crowded on a Thursday afternoon, it took the waitress over 10 minutes to speak with us, revealing she was the only one there. They were somehow out of beer on tap. Which ones? Somehow all of them. Went to the bathroom it was dirty with toilet paper all over the place, no hot water. No paper towels. Dried my hands off with the blower and somehow even it sucked, blowing cold air. The wait for the food took way too long, then it came out with my wife’s first. I had to sit there watching her eat for 5 minutes or so until mine came out. No utensils I guess that’s how it’s supposed to be? Either way I could have used them to dig out the shrimp turds that were on every piece of shrimp I had except 2. My wife ordered hush puppies that never came. Even the wait on my second drink took so long I was finished by the time she returned.
My wife worked in the restaurant business. There are a few things that can make wait staff shoddy. Bad attitudes, not showing up, weak management. This seems to point to weak management though I may be wrong.
The seater seemed to disappear until someone showed up at the door. We never saw her do anything to help the solo waitress when there was plenty of opportunity to do so. It’s possible she had other duties but not likely as we saw several staff members just sitting around talking. Again It reeks of management weakness. Who really knows?
I believe the waitress was doing the best she could.
why you are NOT getting business. Before I sat down I had to clean my food off my seat, under the tables on the floor there is food everywhere the cracks under the tables has all kind of food stuck in it. The blinds are all filthy and nasty. The window ledges are ALL FILTHY. If you expect this place to last, it needs a good cleaning!!!!!!
Try them Cajun Dry rub, cooked a little extra crispy.
The wife gets crab legs and almost have to remind her the shell isn’t edible. Great food, every time!
Update: we have been back over 10 times (probably 20) incredible each time. Q and Mia are amazing people and it bleeds into the culture and atmosphere of this location. We had 4 different types of wings this time and ALL were 10 out of 10. Lemon pepper/ juicy special/ Cajun dry rub/ and the breaded. Going back again to get their new pasta and tacos!!!
The only thing I didn’t like this visit is they don’t have the regular crab crackers and crab forks anymore. They have cheap scissors that are all bent up and make it almost impossible to get into the crab so it’s cold after you’ve fought with the shells. And plastic forks are no good for crab legs. That’s all! Food is still excellent!
The cleanliness is lacking , with filthy window coverings that haven’t been cleaned in a very long time, menus had seasonings all over them. Do better and take notice so your customers don’t eat in filth.
