I honestly feel bad writing this bc we had high hopes. The other Mexican restaurant in town was packed so we gave Don Pepe a go. It was honestly disgusting. Even the salsa was gross. Chips where the most edible part of this meal. I walked in and was greeted with a heavy mold smell. I have them grace bc it is a old quirky building. We sat for awhile before being acknowledged. Then the server got our drinks and couldn’t remember if we ordered or not. We ordered a app. We never received it. When they brought our food the guy just kept repeating 22 to me . I was confused bc i did not order with a number. Then me and my husband where brought the same plate of food when we ordered completly different things.Food was bad like really bad. We tried to eat but it was not edible bad. Then we sat for 20 mins waiting on the check. I dont like taco bell but and I can’t believe im saying this but I should’ve went to Taco bell.

Service was fast and price was good for the amount of food I got. I got the 31 (two burritos with rice and beans) and I must say firstly that the ground beef was moist and finely separated, on top of tasting great. This in particular is a sticking point for me.
The rice was also moist and had peas, carrots, and Lima beans. It most places I opt to not have rice, but their’s was good. I am biased though, as carrots are a weakness of mine.
The restaurant itself is family owned, which is awesome. During my trip I witnessed a customer leave something behind and the waitress ran after them to give them their things. That shows a great sign of character and is big points in my book.

I love this place! The guys from Rapid firearms rant and rave about this place everytime I come into their store. Now that I have eaten here and ate the burrito with shredded Chicken I can say they under sold it. OMG it was so undersold and I will be eating here every single time I can. I can also say it is Genuinely family owned and operated. I absolutely love it I can’t wait to try more dishes from this place. The food was fast out the kitchen and delivered with a smile. Forget fast food this is my new spot reminds me of the NY family reunions the environment and the beautiful looking and tasting food. Much love to this restaurant.
Patrick was waiter and genuinely awesome thanks again.

Good food and service. Very busy and a small dinning room making it a bit cramped.
Overall we would return if we are back in the area, just not on a weekend.

Great spot where you really feel welcomed and like you’re family. insanely good prices on food! combo platter came with a taco, a chalupa, a burrito, and an enchilada for only $10!! seriously better prices than taco bell and WAY better food. Good prices for beer too! The pics got taken later in the meal, obviously we annihilated the food!

“I had such a great experience at Don Pepe Mexican Restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious – everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, from the appetizers to the main dishes. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual meals and family gatherings. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Mexican food!”

Grossly disappointed—literally! My husband’s chimichanga came out right away, but my dinner took at least 15 minutes more time. When my shrimp quesadilla finally was served, it looked appealing, but once I took a few bites, I was totally grossed out. They put an awful cheap barbecue sauce on the shrimp. There was very little cheese on it and no salsa of any type. It tasted horrible, and I couldn’t eat it. Not very Mexican and definitely not consumable. Our server was very nice, and he asked if I’d like something else. We were now pressed for time, so I asked for a couple of beef tacos to go. I was unimpressed that he charged us for both full meals. I tried eating the beef tacos on the way home. They were disappointing: just a minimal amount of beef, lettuce, and tomato on taco shells that fell apart. Not gross like the shrimp quesadilla, but memorable in a bad way.
It had been a year or two since we’d last gone to Don Pepe’s. The last time we went, I got a chicken enchilada, and it had a chicken neck in it. Gross! We thought we’d give them another shot and just not order chicken this time.
We will NOT be going back to Don Pepe’s.
