My husband and I came here before we set out for some Christmas shopping one Saturday afternoon and truly enjoyed the food. The food was delicious and it came out of the kitchen really fast. We both got the steak skillet with pancakes. They have recently updated the inside from the last time we stopped in. I love the new decor and seating areas. This place will be in our breakfast rotation for sure.

This restaurant has been a staple for many years. My friend ordered a gyro and it was HUGE and delicious. She also got a nice side salad. I ordered a dairy free omelet and hash browns and both are delicious. The place is small but the service was good. Their menu is diverse and breakfast is served all day.

Absolutely amazing food!!! Phenomenal!!!
The waitresses are super busy but still very attentive and get you everything you need as soon as they can which is amazing because the food comes up fairly quickly and our drinks were always full. We had amazing condiments. I highly recommend there hot sauce, their house brand hot sauce.

And she remembered all the food and everything was correct I was really expressed. Food was great and cheap!! Completely recommend coming here if you want a good breakfast

Usually the food and service is great. Me and my fiancé have been going for years. First time I ever had a call in order. I couldn’t believe what happened. I called in and asked what came in a chef salad. The lady said hold on, as I’m waiting I can hear her cashing people out and I thought that was fine. I might have reached them at a busy time at 145pm. She is taking to another waitress and I can hear her say “Now, I have to explain to this customer what comes on a chef salad”. So, as she describes what comes in it she says chicken breast. I have never had a chef salad with anything other than ham and turkey. So, I asked if the chicken breast was like deli chicken breast like the ham would be, she literally said “ ya, I think so”. I said ok that’s perfect. Like I said we are there at least once a week and have been going for years. We usually get the same thing every time off the breakfast menu. The staff recognizes us every time. So, I get home with my $14 salad and am surprised to find cooked hunks of chicken breast, melted cheese and warm lettuce and well, the whole top of the salad warm. I thought ok this can’t be right. So, I call back and got someone whose voice I recognize immediately. I had to try to explain twice due to her talking to customers and kept saying to me “ma’m I can’t really hear you. I said excuse me but I think there was a misunderstanding. I orders a chef salad and now I have a warm salad with cooked chicken chunks on it. She sounded extremely rude and responded by saying “ well if that’s what you ordered, then that’s what you got”. I tried to explain that I was told deli chicken breast was on it, she just kept saying no, it comes with cooked chicken. I asked for a manager and she said she had just left. I said I do not want a warm salad, can I bring this back and get one without the cooked chicken and she hung up on me. I tried to call back twice and got no answer. So, long story short that WARM salad went into the garbage. I will definitely not be returning, I just can’t believe that the very same waitress who has waited on us several times with a smile on her face could have such rude behavior!

Absolutely PHENOMENAL breakfast served here. Setup is a little cramped, and if you sit in the middle of the room you’ll feel like you’re constantly in the way of the hustle and bustle of the very busy servers. that aside, their food is amazing, it’s worth the wait, it’s reasonably priced. Not cheap, not expensive, but reasonable. Everything is awesome, but the French toast is amazing, so are the crepes. The whole family loves it here!

This place gives the mom and pop restaurant feel. Comfortable and kind of small. I ordered a waffle, bacon and scrambled cheese. Everything I ordered was good. My friend ordered beef hash, hash browns and scrambled eggs. He was happy with his meal as well. Prices were reasonable. You pay your bill at the front register. That area gets a little congested as it’s also where people enter and wait to be seated. The staff was nice. I recommend giving this place a try.

I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I had the gyro omelet with spinach instead of olives. The hash browns were perfect. 9/10 syrup could be better, but ate all my pancakes.

Another fantastic diner in Alton. I’ve been going to this place off and on for years. To be fair, I don’t know if I’ve ever had lunch here, but the breakfasts have always been pretty great. A fairly deep menu for early morning eats, with the biggest selection being omelets. And, the pancakes are definitely worth a trip.

This was our every weekend place. I even recommended it to friends and people. Meaning I was becoming a regular. But I got this!!!! Burnt dried out liver and onions. Was last plate they had of this. Owners sister, our waitress was going to replace with a burger but by the time it was out. My date was done eating. I declined. So she wrote up for each side order 2.99 potatoes and 3.99 side salad wich was 1.99 add on so owner’s Sister got her money but lost regular customers and friends we would of brought in and recommend here on out. And was happy to do so. This is how a family owned restaurant works. And is ok with bringing out food like this and charging a person as they get to watch their partner eating and then them gossip about you also. That was the topper!!!! I even asked her and explained I was from a family business, and this wasn’t right. How I knew she was sister to the owner. When I asked to speak to them!! All good, but if you have a problem, you’re the one that’s no good…. and they don’t care as long as they get that $$ at least the sister of the ownership!! Her final call, and you see it in pictures, yuck!!!!!
