Ordered here to try something new. What a pleasant surprise. They were packed and took a while to get our order. But it was worth it. The arancini and homemade meatballs took me back to Sicily ❤️. My boys loved the pizza and pepperoni roll. We will be back.

Serafina’s is such a hidden gem! Small with that cozy, welcoming vibe. The pizza was delicious with lots of options to choose from. We also had the mozzarella sticks with their red sauce…. it was SO good! As a fellow New Yorker, this place hit all the right notes. We’ll definitely be back!

I tried everything on the menu. Pizza 8/10. Calzone 4/10. Was cold in the middle and peppers were undercooked. Subs were fresh and delicious. 7/10.

This tiny gem off Race Track rd is worth stopping for!! We were trying to find a place for lunch, and stumbled onto Serafina’s. We were NOT disappointed!! We ordered an 18″ and the owner heard it was our first visit and to our surprise sent out an order of meatballs! My mom is super picky about meatballs and even picker about sauce, and she absolutely loved these and said the sauce was fantastic! The meatballs are generously portioned, sitting in a bed of tomato sauce that is made fresh, and has the perfect amount of garlic.
Then our pizza came, it was delicious! The crust was crunchy without being tough, in fact it was tender while still somehow having the perfect chew!
Finally we were surprised by zeppolle! Wow! How did they get them so light on the inside and crunchy on the outside? The powder sugar barely came off when we ate them! We were wearing black shirts so we could tell!
They were so friendly and wonderful! Great pie, great meatballs, and great zeppolle! Chef’s kiss!!
Had to order a pie to go so my husband wouldn’t get jealous!!

We were so excited to eat we didn’t take many pics!

I genuinely don’t understand how this place has such great online reviews, because the food we got was terrible. We ordered a meat lover’s pizza and garlic knots, and both were honestly some of the worst we’ve ever tasted. The so-called “meat lover” pizza barely had any meat on it—just a few sad pieces scattered around (more of a pepperoni pizza)—and the rest was bland, greasy, and had an odd aftertaste that made us question if it was fully cooked. The garlic knots were dense, oily, and completely lacking flavor.

What’s worse is that we felt sick shortly after eating, which should never happen from something as simple as pizza and garlic knots. I usually try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but this was such a bad experience that I can’t believe a pizza restaurant could serve food this poorly made.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but people need to know what they’re getting into. Definitely not coming back.

Serafina’s pizza is always great 100% of the time. I don’t think you can find a better New York Style pizza in town. However, I wished they had a better system/process during their peak time. I’m all for waiting an extra 15-20 during dinner hours for a pie. As long as they are up front with the wait time. I arrived 10 minutes later to pick up my order understanding that it may be late. I was told that my order was just a few minutes late, which it totally understandable. Upon waiting for my order, I was later notified that they misplaced my order and never started to make my pizza. This was going to be an additional 10-minute wait. I wished they were more upfront with me when I arrived.

I grew up in NY and have been away from the area for some time. I often lament the fact that you cannot find good NY-style pizza outside of NY. Believe me, I’ve tried. I also have friends who feel the same way. People that are not familiar with NY pizza don’t understand.

We were on a road trip north and I found Serafina’s online and they had great reviews. We went out of our way to grab a couple slices. Even with the reviews, my expectations were not very high in that I’ve read the “great NY-style pizza” reviews many times only to be sorely disappointed.

The stop at Serafina’s made our whole trip north worthwhile. Those first couple bites of a plain cheese slice brought back memories I thought I’d never experience again. Absolutely wonderful pizza. The dough was perfect, the crust amazing. It even folded perfectly.

I asked to speak to the owner and Joseph took some time to explain that he gets the dough from NY. I told him he made my day. My only regret is that Serafina’s is not near where I live. I encourage anyone who is anywhere nearby to Serafina’s to get there soon – you have a gem n your midst. For those of you who understand what NY pizza is all about, if you are anywhere even remotely close by in your travels, you will not reget the trip! GO!

Stopped while traveling on vacation. Exceeding all our expectations from the moment we walked in. All workers so SO friendly and inviting. Everything we ordered was delicious. I highly recommend the specialty rice balls and meatball ala vodka hoagie!. The prices were very reasonable and portions were quite large.

i’m not originally from jacksonville but i decided to visit and tried out this place with my boyfriend. it was a small shop but there were so many people ordering to-go, dining in, and so forth. the ambience and atmosphere felt hectic but i liked that. you’re also able to see the pizza made fresh. the grandma’s margherita was AMAZING. it was crispy and fluffy. the best part about it was the tomato sauce. it was absolutely flavorful and delicious. because i had such a great experience, i came back again the next day because it was just that good. if anyone wants to ever get pizza, definitely get it here!

Just about the best pizza I’ve had. The wings are great as well. My parents are from New York and they said it tastes just like home. The owner is a real down to earth guy and always makes us feel welcome, he always checks in and sees if everything is good.
