This is the most awful service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I had a reservation at 7:30PM and didn’t get my food till 9:30PM. When the food came the chicken was cold. I saw my sushi ready at the end of the sushi bar for 30 minutes and they wouldn’t bring it out to my table. They served one of our drinks in a nasty martini cup there was a lipstick and lip stain on the glass. They tried to compensate us with shots and gave us shots in dirty glasses. There was food on the shot glass. There is nobody here, maybe 4 tables max including us and the service took forever. They also served cocktail drinks in different shapes of glasses so people weren’t getting even proportion for what they’re paying for. Whoever is managing this place is awful. It is not clean. They don’t have a dishwasher. I would not trust anything from here. There is so reason any restaurant should be serving anything with dirty dishes.

My husband and I visited Nikko to celebrate my birthday. We arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes prior to our reservation (6:50pm) and were seated promptly. The table was not ready to be sat and the waitress had to clean the table off to seat us. After she asked for our drink order and I tried to order a dirty vodka martini to which she replied they were out of all plain vodka. Mind you this was a Saturday night. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband ordered an Old Fashioned. Our drinks came out and the wine was fine but his drink was just a finger of bourbon poured over an ice sphere. While we waited to order, three large groups of 10-12 people each walked in and were waiting to be seated. They waited at least 20 minutes before anyone walked up to even speak to them. While watching the lobby get fuller and fuller I noticed that on the restaurant floor there were only two servers working. They were taking orders, serving drinks, acting as the hostess and bussing the tables. Not to be offensive but they were both older ladies and in a restaurant of Nikko’s size this was not feasible. On top of this they were using plastic push carts to bring drinks and food to the tables. My husband and I waited approximately 40 minutes before we were done. We paid for our drinks and left at 7:30 pm. This used to be an amazing spot for food and drinks but this was absolutely horrible. We will not be back and it is extremely sad because it used to be one of my favorite spots in Charlotte.

Honestly this food is some of the worst I have had at a restaurant. I know I might be young but I am vietnamese at I have been cooking for 15 years of my life and there are basic things you should know and honestly if you even eat food you should know these things. FOR EXAMPLE the cabbage is hard because it was cooked for less than a minute. Another thing is that the tofu was wet and soft before frying and this makes the tofu soggy and not crunchy. I mean the chef should know this, the owner should know this and to be honest the server should know this too. The sushi was fine but so small for how much you pay for. The yakisoba was flavorless and the drinks tasted like there was hardly any alcohol. These changes are obviously done from cost cutting managers wanting to save time and sauce and food costs. These changes will end up in your restaurant closing. Change now or you will pay later in business failure. If you really think your food tastes good watch some youtube videos on how to cook the food you want to serve.

We celebrated my primo and bro-in-law for their birthdays.
The atmosphere is always good, the music stays on vibes, and everyone is singing lol.
I will say the food was OK. I’ve been to this location twice before covid hit, and the food presentation was awesome they gave you so much food, enough for 2 people, and they had a live DJ.
This time around, it wasn’t like that at all.
But, we still had a good time. Oh, and the sushi was delicious

Came here with my boyfriend and our friends for restaurant week. Not a huge difference in price but on the restaurant weeks page it says nikko fixed price is $35 and that included an app entree and desert. When we get there the menus say $40 and when we got the checks it was $35 for the app and entree then charged $5 for the ice cream separate, I was super full by desert and wouldn’t have gotten it if I was paying $5 for it to basically go to waste. The turnover for the food took forever (which came out cold) and the service was not great. I feel like our waitress really didn’t care about us and our experience. The table next to us got their food drinks and everything before us and they got here after us. The music was loud to the point you can’t hear the people next to us. Overall i would give this place a 3/10 and probably will not be back.

The atmosphere was very nice and the DJ played good upbeat partying music. They add a 20% gratuity to your bill. The food was pretty good. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg rolls. My friends said they enjoyed their food as well.

If I could give this place half a star, I would… Absolutely worst place I’ve dined at in a long time.
We had dinner reservations at 8:15pm for a party of 12. We didn’t get asked for our drink order until after 9pm. At that point, we knew the service was incredibly slow, therefore, placed our food orders right after being served the drinks. We waited for an additional 1.5 hours for our food to be served…
The edamame wasn’t even salted, came out cold, and we were vastly disappointed overall by the food quality. An 8:15 reservation where we didn’t get our food until 10:35pm….. and it wasn’t busy at all. We were 1 of 2 large parties and maybe 4-5 other tables at the time. The other large party was falling asleep at their table waiting and they got there before we did!
AND to top it all off – we were overcharged. We manually added up all of the food&drink after it was all said and done to find the subtotal didn’t match at all. We were so incredibly exhausted and frustrated by the end of the night that we just paid and left. Needless to say – I will be going back to personally dispute this and have a word with their manager.
Glad this place is for sale because it seriously should not even be open if it can’t keep up with decent customer service. Such poor management.

I set a reservation for my birthday for 15 people, 3 hours later when I arrived 30 minutes before my reservation. They told me that they didn’t have no chicken or no steak and they only had shrimp and walked away with no explanation. It was the worst.

I drove from Columbia, South Carolina, only to arrive and find that my reservation was not honored. I understand that unexpected issues can arise, but there should have been a more thoughtful and effective way to manage the situation and accommodate guests. Unfortunately, this experience completely disrupted my Valentine’s Day plans and left a very disappointing impression.

This was by far one of the worst experience I have had at a restaurant. I am incredibly disappointed, shocked, and heart broken by the experience my party and l had yesterday. I was there celebrating my birthday and it was horrible. The food was nasty, the service was horrible.
1. When my first guest arrived, the person there seemed like they had no knowledge of my reservation, though this reservation was booked Dec 7th and confirmation was sent 2 days prior to the 20th. They had to put the tables together so there were people waiting.
2. It wasn’t until we were seated, that we were informed that there was only 1 chef and that they were short staffed because people called out. Completely, unprofessional! This should have been communicated prior to us coming to the restaurant. We were limited as to what we could order. It took forever for food to come out. The waitress was beyond rude and unprofessional. The Miso soup tasted like dishwater. My mom order the seafood rice that was supposed to come with scallops. There weren’t any scallops in the rice. We were still charged gratuity despite the whole experience being terrible! The waitress grabbed me by my wrist and practically started dragging me. She was very rude. When it came time to pay, she split all the bills with no problem until it came to my mom. She charged my mom 2 separate bills with gratuity on each rather than give her one bill and charged her for 2 drinks when she only ordered 1. She was rude and claimed she couldn’t do 1 bill, however, I feel as though she was being dishonest. This felt like a money grab and scam. The amount of money we paid for this is not adding up!!!
Update: I was told this place is closing. It is evident that they have stopped caring because they are closing. Do not spend your money here.
