Breakfast was good. I had ham off the bone with eggs over easy, a crepe and coffee. I gave food a 4 because coffee is very strong and I prefer mild. The service was great. Every staff met me with a smiling welcome.
There were families with children very happily employed by table activities. The atmosphere is as great as it was many years ago when I last was in Lindenhurst.

Emily’s is a must-visit! I had the corned beef hash skillet and was blown away by the fresh vegetables—you can really taste the quality.

The wait staff were incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.

Fast service, great coffee, and even better food. I’ll definitely be back!

This place used to be a nice place to go for great food and excellent service. Now, the food isn’t nearly as good (at least what I ate) – I’m guessing they went with other food vendors for less money. I’ve seen the current management sneer at their own employees, and even speaking negatively about their employees at the restaurant. That’s not professional. Morale seemed very low after the take over. The manager, Connie, ran that place like a champ. She would arrange for Santa to come to the restaurant for the kids, Halloween was a big deal there, Easter was fun. She made that place what it was. When she went from manager to server, that place went downhill fast! Last time I was there, the bathroom was FREEZING! I heard someone say that the heat hadn’t been working properly, not just for a day. They used to be well staffed, but cut staff by a lot when the new owners took over. That will cause slow service. The experience isn’t the same. It isn’t community oriented anymore and that’s very disappointing. For years Connie would arrange to have Santa for the kids, she decorated for all holidays and she made it very community oriented. She took very good care to make sure the elderly didn’t have to wait for their tables due to their frailty. They all knew her well. My father-in-law was one of them. The feeling of this place just isn’t warm and inviting anymore. I’ll reiterate – short staffing causes slow service…it isn’t the fault of the wait staff. As I understand it, Connie is no longer there. I’ll not be returning either.

Not sure if this location at one time was owned by the same people who own any of the other Emily’s in Beach Park and/or Waukegan (now Carmen’s) but either way, great food here.

Finally made it out here this past January following a snowstorm and was a pleasant 1st experience.

Good food at reasonable prices despite the climbing prices of food all over the country and great service in a spacious & clean/sanitized dining area.

Already on my list of go-to breakfast joints and always happy to support local.

Great food. Great service. This is the kind of place to try new foods. I don’t just get the same thing everytime. Haven’t been disappointed yet. Their spicy Bloody Mary is good as is their coffee! Service is always on point too! Even with big parties.

We went to this location, and it was an awesome service! I forgot to ask her name again.
The food was great, but my girls didn’t like the crepes, since in their mind was the crispy crepes.
Other than that, I love the skillet breakfast, the mini waffle, and the pancakes.
The pictures don’t do justice since we were hungry.

Emily’s Pancake House in Lake Villa is a nice place — clean, comfortable, and inviting. The service is fair, though not exceptional. Be prepared for a feast when you arrive… unfortunately, the feast will be on your pocketbook.
Portions are generous, and the food is average to slightly above average. But $5.50 for a glass of orange juice and $3.50 for coffee should at least come with a table-side show or someone squeezing oranges right in front of you.
Pumpkin pancakes are tasty, though they’ll cost you an extra $5. And no matter how you pay, there’s a 3% “convenience fee” — apparently for the effort of printing your bill.
All in all, expect to spend around $60 for breakfast for two

Finally tried Emily’s after driving past so many times. Easy getting into…lots of parking. I love the facility; multiple rooms (which I enjoy.) The menu is large and the offerings look quite filling. The pancakes are terrific. Our server was friendly but not very attentive, although I appreciated the carafes of coffee for the table. Overall a great option for breakfast/ lunch.

Very over priced and food is okay. We paid $7.50 for a fountain coke if you can believe that. Our server was great but it is a noisy atmosphere and very overpriced. Won’t be going back.
