The Spicy Tonkatsu was rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying—exactly the kind of comfort bowl you crave. Portions were generous, and the presentation was beautifully done.
The curry was also really good—comforting and full of flavor. I personally would’ve loved the broth a bit thicker, but it was still enjoyable and well balanced.
What really stood out was the awesome staff—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, making the whole dining experience even better.
Overall, great food, great service, and a place that feels good to be in. Definitely worth coming back to. ✨
We arrived around 8:35 PM, knowing the restaurant closed at 9, and immediately asked if the staff preferred that we order takeout instead of dining in. Instead, the two female servers who were closing repeatedly told us — in a very unfriendly tone — that they didn’t care and that we only had two minutes to order because the kitchen was closing. Even though the restaurant’s hours indicate they are open until 9:00 PM
This created a stressful and uncomfortable situation as I rushed my 78-year-old mother, my 13-year-old daughter, and my husband, who is a private chef and normally orders extensively to experience the menu. Because of how unwelcome we felt, we kept our order minimal — four ramen and two appetizers — when we typically order much more.
After we ordered, staff loudly shouted “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” across the restaurant to the kitchen staff, which felt chaotic and unprofessional. What stood out even more was that the servers thanked and said goodbye to other guests, but did not acknowledge our table at all — and we were not the last people there.
Despite the experience, we still tipped $40 on a $100 tab.
The food was excellent, as always. However, the lack of basic hospitality was surprising and disappointing, especially from a place we have supported for years. This experience left us questioning whether we feel comfortable returning.
What made this even more surprising was that it was Valentine’s Day — one of the busiest dining holidays of the year. In an economy where many businesses are struggling, it was disappointing to feel like our business was not welcomed.
Great restaurants take pride not just in what they serve, but in how their guests are treated. The attitude and professionalism of the staff should reflect the same care and integrity as the food coming out of the kitchen.
I hope ownership and management is aware of how this situation was handled by the two female employees closing the restaurant that night.
TLDR; For reference if you want mid overpriced ramen then go here. This place used to be special but now is generic because they changed chefs and food quality went EXTREMELY down .
The pic on left shows what we got and the one on the right is what we thought we were getting (noodles thicker etc)
Takoyaki was surprisingly very yummy. We had just come back from Osaka, Japan and Osaka is known for Takoyaki. This place was comparable to what we had in Osaka. Outside was crispy and inside was gooey, just like how its supposed to be. Inside were big pieces of tako.
Very very satisfied with the dinner! We will be back 🙂
