Had a great experience at Sukiya Ramen
The Spicy Tonkatsu was rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying—exactly the kind of comfort bowl you crave. Portions were generous, and the presentation was beautifully done.
The curry was also really good—comforting and full of flavor. I personally would’ve loved the broth a bit thicker, but it was still enjoyable and well balanced.
What really stood out was the awesome staff—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, making the whole dining experience even better.
Overall, great food, great service, and a place that feels good to be in. Definitely worth coming back to. ✨

The restaurant was a little crowded and we ended up having to share our table with another party. But it wasn’t awful, everyone was respectful. The food was pretty good although the toppings were not as abundant as some of the other ramen shops I’ve visited… the order came out accurate and definitely hit the spot. The staff was very friendly.

Great gyoza appetizer. And the build your own ramen is awesome. I kept it simple with the spicy beef broth and beef protein and it came out perfectly

All of the 5 start reviews must be from people who’ve never had authentic or good ramen. This place was bland at best. The gyoza was ok but they gave me a tiny amount of sauce for dipping and the “spicy” tonkatsu was also bland. The pork was decent but I’ll stick with my normal place Wanna Poke & Ramen. Sadly they were closed today and I thought I’d try something else, not realizing this was a chain. The place smelled absolutely awful when I walked in, like a lot of sewer gas and dirty drains. Also soy-brined eggs taste way better in ramen than soft-boiled; if the shop is making/using soy-brined eggs for the ramen it’s usually legit.

This has been our go-to ramen restaurant for years — the only place we bring friends and family, and the only ramen spot we choose to visit. That’s why our recent experience was so disappointing.

We arrived around 8:35 PM, knowing the restaurant closed at 9, and immediately asked if the staff preferred that we order takeout instead of dining in. Instead, the two female servers who were closing repeatedly told us — in a very unfriendly tone — that they didn’t care and that we only had two minutes to order because the kitchen was closing. Even though the restaurant’s hours indicate they are open until 9:00 PM

This created a stressful and uncomfortable situation as I rushed my 78-year-old mother, my 13-year-old daughter, and my husband, who is a private chef and normally orders extensively to experience the menu. Because of how unwelcome we felt, we kept our order minimal — four ramen and two appetizers — when we typically order much more.

After we ordered, staff loudly shouted “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” across the restaurant to the kitchen staff, which felt chaotic and unprofessional. What stood out even more was that the servers thanked and said goodbye to other guests, but did not acknowledge our table at all — and we were not the last people there.

Despite the experience, we still tipped $40 on a $100 tab.

The food was excellent, as always. However, the lack of basic hospitality was surprising and disappointing, especially from a place we have supported for years. This experience left us questioning whether we feel comfortable returning.

What made this even more surprising was that it was Valentine’s Day — one of the busiest dining holidays of the year. In an economy where many businesses are struggling, it was disappointing to feel like our business was not welcomed.

Great restaurants take pride not just in what they serve, but in how their guests are treated. The attitude and professionalism of the staff should reflect the same care and integrity as the food coming out of the kitchen.

I hope ownership and management is aware of how this situation was handled by the two female employees closing the restaurant that night.

Love this place. Have been coming here for about 8years now and have never left disappointed. There is a reason they are expanding to multiple locations!!! Highly recommend the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen but in general you can’t got wrong, it’s all good. In the evening get here early or be prepared to wait.

For the last two years me and my bf would go here a lot when we lived close by after moving we decided to go back for the first time year and was extremely disappointed in the quality of food. My goto was always the tsukemen. It USED to be flavorful HOT and juicy. Now the noodles downgraded it felt like I was eating maruchan ramen…. The noodles used to be thicker (HENCE ORDERING THE TSUKEMEN) . The chashu/pork in the broth used to be fatty and flavorful and easy to chew. This time it was dry and hard to chew. Also it was served lukewarm when it’s suppose to be hot so you can DIP your noodles into them. The service was always good. I am just disappointed because this used to be the only place that was up to par with Japan and now NO LONGER IS. It’s a shame because me and my bf would always recc this ramen place to our friends and now we will be WARNING them not to come here. We visit Japan often and my BF is Japanese.

TLDR; For reference if you want mid overpriced ramen then go here. This place used to be special but now is generic because they changed chefs and food quality went EXTREMELY down .

The pic on left shows what we got and the one on the right is what we thought we were getting (noodles thicker etc)

Both miso and hokkaido broths were flavorful. Handful of sprouts, 2 pieces of bok choy and 2 pieces of meat topped with half an egg, nori, and pickled ginger were served inside each bowl of Ramen. Miso broth was mild and light whereas the hokkaido one was more creamier.

Takoyaki was surprisingly very yummy. We had just come back from Osaka, Japan and Osaka is known for Takoyaki. This place was comparable to what we had in Osaka. Outside was crispy and inside was gooey, just like how its supposed to be. Inside were big pieces of tako.

Very very satisfied with the dinner! We will be back 🙂

Amazing vegetarian options, we got the veggie miso ramen, seaweed salad, veggie gyoza, edamame and veggie shoyu. We try to come to this place every time we visit Denver. You’ll have to wait during peak dinner/lunch time but totally worth the wait.

This is our first time here. We’re still eating but the food is so good, I wanted to leave a review. Could be a new favorite and will definitely make our restaurant rotation. Five stars all the way!
