Restaurante Chile Bandera is a family owned and operated business in Jourdanton Texas. Owners Juan and Angelita Aguilar re-opened the Business March 6, 2012 along with their 6 children. Marina, Margarita, Eduardo, Andres, Ramon, and Juan. Our family is from San Antonio Texas. Chile Bandera is not only known for its great food but it is also recognized for our incredible homemade flour tortillas. The business is very involved in the Jourdanton community. Chile Bandera has a very home like feel from the food to the overall atmosphere. We know the majority of our customers by their first name and would consider them part of our family. We are from San Antonio but we consider Jourdanton our home.

The food here is always amazing. Solid 5 stars, the services are hit-or-miss. Because they have are there. Local, who of course, they will serve first and ten to first which is understandable I guess… it would be nice if this place after all these ten plus years would do an upgrade. But it does have nostalgia, so it’s understandable to keep it looking old.

We had breakfast and really enjoyed the experience. I ate an enchilada taco with rice and beans in the flour tortilla. It was outstanding. Our server Kim was also amazing. You can also buy a stack of imperfect flour tortilla for $1.00 . Yup for $1.00 you need to go there . Also a big chicken fried steak. Awesome food awesome service.

Best restaurant on the planet. The family that owns it is incredible, their staff is amazing, and the food is unforgettable. I’ve eaten here for as long as I can remember (at least 15 years), probably 150 times a year, and I’ve never had a bad meal. I wouldn’t hesitate to order anything on the menu.

This is a whole in the wall place. Every time we have passed this place the parking lot is full! Great food at a reasonable price. Excellent service from everyone. We have stopped to eat inside, finding a place to park was difficult and we have also tried their drive thru calling our order ahead. The pictures were from dining in. Forgot to take pictures of the second time but we had their fish, the plate was more than plenty with two filets of fish. This place will not disappoint. Only thing to consider is parking if eating in of course it depends the time you go. The second thing to consider the time you eat because the seating can be chaotic; however, we saw the community willing to share a big table.

Good breakfast tacos, tortillas are made in house. We had the egg and chorizo. Chorizo had a good flavor and was not overly greasy. The Horchata had a good flavor, but was a bit too sweet for us. Definitely a good place to stop at local business and you can get tortillas to go.

The weekend bake sales are ridiculous. The sellers are blocking the entrance, it’s already crowded inside and staff ask you to wait outside for your order , bad service. The staff is a little rude, but tolerable. Won’t be coming here as often, waiting on Taco Cabana to move into town.

I found Restaurante Chile Bandera on Google Maps and decided to make the 45 min motorcycle ride to check it out…I’m glad I did.
The first thing I noticed was how friendly the employees were. Everyone that made eye contact with me smiled.
Their menu has quite the selection. I decided on the 50/50 Burger. It comes with a nice size hamburger patty with a good slice of brisket, BBQ sauce, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles and mozzarella cheese, on a sourdough bun. I had them put a fried egg on it also!
The 50/50 is delicious. It a big burger so get ready to open wide..as it should be!
Also, it’s just a little juicy, finger licking good…as it should be!
For desert I had Sopapillas, which come with honey, chocolate sauce and whipped cream for dipping, yummy!
I absolutely recommend Restaurante Chile Bandera, and I’m definitely going back.
I think you will enjoy the friendliness and tasty food. Oh! I forgot..the onion rings were not greasy and had a nice crunch, very good.
