I got INKIND spend $150 minus $50 promotion.
Liked only one thing that is somewhat the same every where – ikura with quail egg nigiri. Everything else is overpriced and don’t have good taste so mediocre- they out this horrible crab mix in everything- spoils all the fish taste on rolls. Muscles were over baked brown and not the whole thing cut up with not sure really what was in it.; yelotail roll for $24 with sweet pickle and shura ha was really a mismatch; and lollipop roll was sloppy made with huge cucumber skin that broke before I picked it up. It smells bad once you get in there like an old mold.
Maybe lunch is better but dinner is horrible – waste of $100 plus tip. Sadly might look great but not for this price and taste

Honestly my expectations were beyond met! I’ve been to kyoto personally and not to compare the two because you can’t really this is probably the closest thing to the real deal in kyoto! The food was delicious and very tasty and service was excellent!

Sushi looks great, we had teppanyaki and wished we would have stayed at the Sushi bar as the food was ‘ok’.
The beef soup starter was delish, but the rest of the flavors were really a 2-3 star… from the ginger salad dressing, the veggy apps, the chicken fried rice (smelled like a rotten egg), shrimp needed lemon and garlic butter and steak was over cooked.
The fire on the plates was a nice experience but we don’t really go for the “show” (nice chef but seemed a bit tired), we go for the uber hot sizzling dishes.
My son and I have a tradition to hit a teppanyaki at all cities/countries when traveling so our bar may be set at a much higher level.

I was craving sushi and I had parked nearby this place so decided to walk in. This is hands down the best sushi I’ve had in years, and definitely the best sushi in Arizona! I had 3 rolls, one baked, one fried, and one cold and they each were unique and delicious. The fried one had a fire going on in the middle! I’m definitely coming back here next time I have a craving. The server was great and attentive as well, I forgot to get her name tho unfortunately, I had several Asahi by the time I left! Thank you!

You definitely want to go to Kyoto for the teppanyaki. Our chef was talented, and the food was good. We both had the New York strip that was cooked perfectly and was tender and flavorful.
Where Kyoto fails is the sushi. It came when we were almost done with our meal. We originally ordered it as an appetizer. I’m not sure what happened. The roll was flavorless and looked like sushi from.Wal Mart (if they served sushi). The staff was nice. However, the restaurant is very old and in need of a remodeling.

The sushi was good, but not great. There was too much sauce in the yakisoba, so the dish comes off a little too sweet. The squid salad is delicious. The shishito peppers were great. They could have used a different sake for the hot sake, because the one they had was garbage, but some of the other choice were delightful. Service was hit and miss – no plates or setups when our apps came out and server didn’t check-in until after I had taken setups and plates from a nearby pile and we’d nearly finished the apps, but came around after our first bites of our entrees. We wanted dessert, but the server was MIA for at least 30 minutes, so we just cashed out with someone else and left.

We enjoyed our meal here. Both rolls were great and appetizers were also delicious. Fish was fresh. Our server was very friendly! Absolutely enjoyed our time.

We love hibachi because it entertains our daughter and there is plenty of food for all! We enjoyed our meal for the most part… our chef made it very very heavy on the garlic. I LOVE garlic but it’s not really what is expected at a hibachi restaurant. They also had a great happy hour!

Fantastic sushi rolls. This one came with a perfectly cooked scallop on top. The mayo topping may have been a bit strong but overall good flavor. The miso soup was high quality with perfect taste and ample seaweed providing vital amino acids: a bowl of liquid health. The music was a bit loud.

Dark and dingy. No wall art or cute architecture. Floors were dirty. Much more of a bar then a nice restaurant. Alexis gave bad service. Our food allergies were not taken seriously. We spent like $175 to feed the two of us and our kid, and it wasn’t worth that at all. The steak was be supposed to be medium Rare but it was well done. The miso soup was served cold and the salad was old. Save yourself the trouble and skip this one.
