The fish (Wahoo grilled and Grilled Splendid Alfonsino) was very tasty. They also have a simple salad buffet included in the price. The atmosphere is chill, you can relax and talk calmly. The staff is very polite and attentive, also helpful and speaks English. Beautiful gas lamps decorating the terrace.

SO. MUCH. SEAFOOD. This restaurant on the south side of São Miguel island is perfect for seafood lovers. We tried limpets for the first time here, an Azores island specialty, and they were oh-so-juicy. They have an extensive selection of fish and everything was so fresh and grilled just right. There’s an open salad bar in the back so you can get your dose of veggies too!

Exceptional cuisine, beautiful indoor garden with a quant and cozy feel. Cuisine is unbelievable, you won’t go wrong with anything. We got the grilled tuna, grilled octopus, the grilled wahoo, and the splendid Alfonso. They have a salad bar that was a great way to start off the meal. For dessert we had coconut cake, cream he pie gracioso, and the drink pear. 1.5 L of sangria was a great way to complement the meal!

I have been to Açores couple of times and testing multiple restaurants.

PONTA DO GARAJAU scores the highest and I highly recommend to try it out.

Fresh fish, prepared to the perfection. Friendly service and cozy interior. The local (Pico) wine list is on point.

Nice little restaurant with tasty food and good service. We had the tuna and the roasted chicken which were both good, especially the tuna. Ample portions and Salad bar was included. Service was quick and friendly and our waiter managed well in English, always nice. The atmosphere was pleasant, the restaurant nicely decorated.

Great meal here, some different fish dishes to my normal repertoire.
I had blue mouth rockfish which was meaty & delicious. All meals served with potatoes & salad. Best to book as very popular. Good for gluten free, the mackerel was fried in pop corn flour.

Super tasty restaurant with a very laid back feeling – but make sure to make reservations. The setting is great with an open sided pavilion with a high ceiling so it is very cool inside even in a hot afternoon. Service was timely but also well paced so you were not rushed. We had grilled scabbardfish and mackerels. The kid ate from the children’s menu because he is a picky eater. The best part of the meal was the fried shrimp – the sauce was so tasty. This was the very last thing we did on our weeklong vacation and we left for home with very fond memories!

We had a lovely dinner here. Cheese was soft and delicate. Fish was fresh, and it was prepared perfectly (we tried grilled amberjack and another fish fried). Their salad bar is unique on the island – its self served, and everything is super fresh and clean. We also ordered a dessert – ice cream with forrest fruits sauce – it was so delicious I didn’t manage to take a picture in time. Service was nice and attentive. Highly recommended!

So, you’ve swam in the Atlantic, you’re soaking up the flora and forna. You take a brief drive, go for a walk and then fall upon this restaurant. What absolute delicious food, great value for money, fantastic atmosphere and gluten free options. So don’t delay, visit and you won’t be disappointed, it’s a real gem…
