At our Northport, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Absolutely did not approve the quality of the food.the fish was COMPLETELY dried out as if it had been sitting for a while as well as the shrimp. The jalapeño poppers were undercooked. The okra was too soft. Overall meal was not worth the visit

I ordered the two piece fish and fries meal for $5.99. I appreciated the kindness of the cashier because I was stressed out and needed to eat and settle down before getting back on the road. She expressed empathy and my order arrived soon. The food was fresh and hot. The sweet tea was good without that too sweet taste.

I wanted over 20 minutes in the drive through and no one came went to the window no one in front. How can a owner of a restaurant make money when the workers don’t care. No wonder people stop going to restaurant now days. 5/25/25 7:30 p.m. The younger generation doesn’t care they just want a paycheck. To run a restaurant you have to have people who cares about their job if not the restaurant will never make any money and shut down. When the manager doesn’t care the workers won’t either.

I’m a truck driver I only have so much time to drive a day then I have to responsibly find a place to park before my time runs out! I have to plan out my routes because big trucks can’t maneuver In some places! I checked the time and they closed at 10! I arrived at 915 pm and the doors were locked I knocked on the door and a lady with big glasses ignored me! This is the reason franchises are losing customers because of lazy workers who don’t realize that the closure time means the last customer walks in at 10 and still gets served! We came about 3:30 this afternoon and had a great experience! Rhonda and Robert were amazing at the register. Our food was fresh and hot and Rhonda made sure the dining room was cleaned and everyone had what they needed! Will definitely come back when they are here!!
