Was craving a sweet treat tonight. The drive thru line was long so my husband went inside to order and brought my sundae out to the car. I was 2-3 bites deep when I pulled out a big grey hair on my spoon He took it back inside and asked for his money back, no apologies, no offer to remake it, nothing but attitude. I’d avoid the ice cream/milkshakes from this location!

We met a family friend with 2 children here during the snowy weather to get them out of the house for a while, to feed them, and be in a warm environment. The cashier and manager were both super friendly. They closed the lobby due to shortage of employees due to weather conditions while we were there but they did not rush us out but continued to make us feel welcome. Male employee working the front continued to politely address and converse with us as well as the manager. Very pleasant experience even at a time that was vey stressful for the staff. Thank you.

If you have been following my reviews for a while, you will know that I have quite the beef with the McDonald’s near my home. I was in the area going to cardboard Shuffle and I wanted to get some food. This McDonald’s wasn’t that far so I decided to stop in to see if it was better or worse than the McDonald’s by my home. As soon as I walked in I noticed there were a few things different that made things a bit more inconvenient. First off there was no soda machine so I can get my own drink. No condiments no napkins no nothing. Me and my husband had quite the big order. Now me having allergies I was in desperate need of napkins or something which I couldn’t get until our order came. I had to use the toilet paper in the bathroom to blow my nose. When we made our order the associate at the counter said that they would bring the food to us and just have a seat. They didn’t. They called her number and we had to get up to get the food. My husband got a Oreo McFlurry with caramel in it and they must have been out of good cups or something because what we were handed was slightly leaking from the bottom not enough to be an issue but not a good look. We were only provided one straw to work with for my drink which was a large Diet Coke and my husband’s Oreo mcflurry. Which by the way if you want a drink you have to tell them what you want to drink for them to hand you the drink. During the course of our meal I had to ask for a straw a spoon and more napkins. Which means I had to wait at the counter for some associate to look over to assist me. They were pretty busy when we came in which is a good look for the business. There was at least four or five cars in the Drive-Thru signifying this must be a good business. Now let’s talk about the food quality. The difference between this McDonald’s and the one near my home is as different as night and day. My double cheeseburger with only ketchup and diced onions was absolutely perfect. Not to mention the fry quality was equally as good. Unlike the McDonald’s by my home this food was all made fresh. And it shows in how tasty the food is. It’s amazing how good the food can be when it’s actually made fresh unlike some establishments. However the chicken nuggets that I got did not taste fresh. They tasted rather Bland like they had been sitting out for a while. But as far as the quality of the food goes that’s the only thing I really have to nitpick about. As far as the associates go they were all rather friendly and they had a smile on their face. Not something that you see a lot of these days. All in all I’ve got to say the food quality is definitely there but a few minor things kept it from being a five-star review. I’m giving this one four stars out of five.

Excellent food every time I go through, but the old lady cashier must have had a bad day, cause she had a serious attitide in the drive thru and screamed at my group. Other than that, its a good spot to eat.

On Friday November 14th I went thou drive thou and got a chicken ranch wrap meal and the wraps and fries and totally cold as crap and I was on lunch from work but the next day I had my RECEIPT but the manager and crew was rude and said that they couldn’t replace it without the food itself. I have worked in fast food all of my life almost and we never done that. As long as you have the receipt to prove it you are suppose to replace. The manager and 1 more was totally rude and be careful what you order at this McDonald’s on Fort Henry drive Kingsport Tennessee.

Updating my review. The staff here are always on top of it. They are super friendly. Today I had a Great experience with ¿Quill? Super nice and helpful. Didn’t treat me like they just wanted me out of their window. Very sweet. Most of the employees are nice but I wanted to give Quill a shout out today for making me smile

Why can’t I get my food right at least one time???? Every time! I get home my grandson 10pc Nugget is missing so I give him my food cause I am not going back out. Far for us because a person is being lazy and didn’t want to cook so why would I want to drive back. Quill was very nice but talked like it was ok. “I must have missed it sorry I will put your name in my book!” That didn’t help the situation check your orders before you send them out. You didn’t realize when you miss food that is someone not getting to eat! Think about that!

Went November 28th 2025 to pickup some food for my family I was talked to like a dog by the cashier I typically spend a lot of money on McDonald’s. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone or my colleagues.

Went here and ordered 2 orders of bacon just for both of them to apparently be put in the same box although they were for separate people. Went in and asked that they give us a second and the manager was rude and told us we got what we ordered. Will never return to this location
