Our First impressions at 59 Almshouse was outstanding. From the moment we walk in, the place makes a great impression—beautifully presented, welcoming, and well thought out.
The food was excellent, the drinks were on point, and the service was top-notch. Everything felt polished and intentional, without being stuffy.

Came here for my moms birthday. We had reservations and sat next to the bar. First I want to say that the service here was on point. They acknowledge you as soon as you walk in. The Food was fantastic and prepared at a timely manner. The cocktails was also phenomenal. The Price definitely matched what they put out there.

Been here twice. It’s pricy but the food and service are good. The flat bread pizza is excellent as well as the burger. Good selection of beer and the Smokey old fashioned is worth getting. The buffalo old fashioned is terrible, you might as well be drinking sugar. The fact the burgers don’t automatically come with fries instead of chips is a travesty.

I have been going here for a few years now. Their food was always delicious and the service was nice. My issue is with requesting a booth or larger table for two people. It is rarely accommodated due to it bring a very busy restaurant. Due to this the small tables are mostly very close together.The last time I was there i could not even get in my seat without struggling to bump into people and I couldn’t put my coat behind my chair because it was so close to other tables ( I am a small framed woman). Going to the restroom I accidentally bumped into a women’s handbag in the next table and she became nasty and was so angry I couldn’t get by and hit her handbag by accident. I apologized but she just gave me nasty looks and making comments until I left. I have ptsd and do not need to be upset due to peoples issues. I didn’t tell the service manager.. I just wanted to leave. This restaurant is too small for the amount of people who eat here. I will sadly have to eat elsewhere because I cannot enjoy a meal with no room to eat or even sit comfortably.

For anybody who hasn’t been there, make sure to order the Mediterranean salad appetizer. It’s not really a salad, it’s huge and delicious. Their ribeye steak is also the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

The food was delicious, parking was a little rough, but I got a spot in the main lot. Overall it was a good Valentine experience.
The biggest negative was that we only saw our waiter a couple times. If you didn’t ask for something when food was delivered nobody was coming back. We saw the waiter when we ordered our app and drinks, then when the app came out and we placed our order, we didn’t see him again until the food was brought out, finally we had finished our meal before he came back again. We were regularly without a drink, I’m not even talking about alcohol, water and soda. He was really nice and polite, I’m sure it’s just too many people to 1 waiter.
I would recommend this location and will be back to try more of the menu.

My meal (brisket melt sandwich) was good and Huge! The French fries are very good. My wife’s fried shrimp was good but she felt there should have been more shrimp (although she did take home some from her meal). Our friend had a rice bowl dish which she very much enjoyed. Her husband had the Thanksgiving Dinner which he sent back because he thought the turkey was just sliced deli meat because it was sliced so thin. I think he may have been overly critical. The plate was filled with turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. In fact, I’ll order it next time! Our server was fantastic as well.

Had dinner last nite.. party of three. The dinner purpose was for celebrating my belated birthday.
Our server was Scott and we all liked him.. he was helpful, attentive and friendly.
Love the place that has outdoor seating and have the bar inside and at the patio side. The place was busy.. probably because of the happy hour.

They have big menu, I had a hard time to choose because everything sounds interesting and delicious.
For the appetizer we had Thai grilled chicken lettuce wraps (wish they put more vermicelli noodles), banging shrimp, fried pickles and shellfish chowder and all these was good.
For our main dinner I ordered myself a plate of paella valenciana, my husband had lobster roll and our dad had Mediterranean salad. Also all these was good except my husband said the lobster roll was much better taste at Jersey shore but at this place was much lesser price.
For desserts we had Portuguese custard, key lime pie and apple cranberry crumb pie.. again desserts also was good.
By the way my husband really enjoy his blueberry hill cocktail

Last thing was this place ever had jambalaya before? Because my husband swore that he saw it on the online menu a week ago before we made the reservation and he was really looking forward to have that for last night dinner but somehow it wasn’t on the menu at all.
Other than that our dinner was nice.
