I recently had the opportunity to attend a business dinner at McCormick and Schmick’s. The restaurant exudes a classic steakhouse ambiance, and the service staff demonstrated both friendliness and efficiency. However, I must express my disappointment with the quality of the food, which fell short of my expectations and seemed overpriced.

This is one of the nicer McCormick’s and schmick’s I’ve been to, and the food is always very good to excellent.

The service in general has been very good as well.

I really like the decor of this place with natural wood and glass art.

It can be difficult to find parking near the restaurant, particularly when the mall is busy. There is a free garage on the other side of the mall that usually has room.

We had a birthday dinner last night. The receptionist wished me happy birthday while we checked in. I ordered West Australian Lobster Tail, and my husband had Wagyu Top Sirloin. The meals were really tasty. The atmosphere was good, and the staffs were friendly and always smile. Before we left, they gave me a menu with my name and staff’s signatures. What a fantastic evening.

Fun romantic place. Tai, our server has a great sense of humor and best wait staff I’ve experienced in a long time. Crowded parking lot, but come on in, plenty of tables available.

I was in Portland for around 36 hours. And my main 3 meals were great. This one best above all. Parking lot looked full but it was due to surrounding stores. No wait for a late lunch. Oysters were delicious. Tried all three on the menu. Also tried to grilled oysters which we good as well. Perhaps one of the best cups of clam chowder I have had. Was very warm and fresh. I was not expecting such a good soup during a mid day late lunch. I also tried the Australian lobster topped with shrimp scampi. This was also very good. Sour dough bread is one of my favorites so that helped also. My server Anthony was on point. Best service I have had I a long while. Very attentive but not too much. Anticipated my needs but not overbearing. Pleasant demeanor. Would definitely recommend if you are a seafoodie. My meal was pricey but by choice. They have other less expensive options as well.

Went to M&S grill for date night and had an enjoyable experience. I arrived before my husband and they offer to sit me and offered drinks while I waited. They have a variety of dishes from $23-55 per plate. I really enjoyed my fish but loved the shrimp and my husband said the same about the lobster. The shrimp is really good. Our server Kevin was very attentive and checked on us a few times to make sure everything was fine. From the parking lot to the bathrooms everything was clean and inviting. We might return to try other items but it is pricy so not a place I would visit often

My husband and I wanted to do something special for our anniversary and we decided to make a trip to McCormick for the first time.

When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant, so it was relatively quiet before the dinner rush. However, it took a server nearly 20 minutes to bring us water. We were concerned after that.

Once our waitress brought our water and bread to our table, the service did a 180. Our waitress was super sweet and helped us choose a side dish to complement both my filet mignon and my husband’s ribeye. We decided on the asparagus and Holladay sauce. Needless to say, that was the perfect choice. Plus having a touch of bacon makes it better. If you’re thinking about getting a side dish, it’s a perfect size for two people.

Now, my filet mignon was butter-melting tender and barely needed a knife to cut through. The BEST and I mean, the best filet mignon I’ve ever had. And let me talk about those potatoes, you’ll want seconds, thirds, or even a fourth helping if they allow that.

The ribeye steak was cooked to a medium-rare perfection to my husband’s taste. When taking a bite, it had the proper amount of seasoning but was not overwhelming to the meaty flavor of the steak. The seasoning complimented it. This was a top contender for one of his favorite choices of steaks.

The Crème brûlée was out of this world good! This topped my favorite Crème brûlée from another restaurant I’ve been to and that’s saying something. The sugar crust had the right amount of thickness and the fresh fruit was the perfect touch.

Despite the rough start to our evening, this was by far one of the best steakhouse restaurants we have been to. We will be back again!

Booked our company’s annual holiday party and was so impressed by the service we received! Our party was at the Tigard location, and my point of contact was Kristen. Start to finish, she made sure we were well taken care of, from custom menus, to beautiful decor and very clear communication. When we arrived, we were happy to see that the room was set up beautifully and was the perfect size for our party to all sit together. Mitch was our server and he did an incredible job managing our team. The food was delicious and paced well for the night. The other support servers were lovely as well and seemed to all work harmoniously together!
I would highly recommend this restaurant for any larger celebration or party you may want to host. We will definitely book something here again in the future!

Thank you:-)

Sincerely,
The VIDA team

My lunch stop was great. I was seated immediately and greeted quickly and kindly by the server. I ordered the shrimp stuffed salmon with a side Caesar. It was phenomenal. Bridgeport has some great choices- don’t miss out on this one.

The restaurant was clean, staff were friendly. Most of the experience was reasonable.

I can’t rave about it though, the experience just felt off. Little things forgotten, things seemed slow. Our party was all together and ordered at 6:30pm and food didn’t arrive until 7:25pm.

It was just ok.

When we asked about something that was listed in the menu that didn’t arrive with the meal it felt more like it was our mistake.

Everything was prepared well, but I can’t say everything was “good”. Cobia was excellent! Coleslaw was very disappointing, like the focus was on the flavors of already bland vegetables. It was not trying to wow you.

One of our party didn’t get her wine until after dinner was already underway, and that was after asking much earlier for it. Another member of our party asked for a refil of his beverage twice before not asking our server for his refill.

I can’t say it was a bad time, but I can’t say it was my favorite experience ever. So get dessert though, that was on point.
