First time visiting Smokey Joe’s BBQ, we took my mom there for her 77th birthday. The staff was friendly, and it was a pleasure meeting Jud and Jace. The food was exceptionally good. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, with several sauce options to choose from. The hot wings were fried to perfection and generously sauced. The green tomatoes were sliced to the right thickness, battered, and fried just as expected.
Ten across the board — highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!

The price was high (5.99)and I had to pay extra for pickles and slaw on a bbq sandwich which should of been my first sign to leave, the meat was very plain, maybe cooked in an over ♀️, not sure. I don’t live here so i don’t have to go back but I’m not sure how the place stays in business honestly

Had a get-together with some friends from college – Smokey Joe’s was very accommodating letting us use a small private room. Staff was friendly and attentive, food was great! Even had a great conversation with the owners – wonderful people. We’ll be coming back for some fried ribs!!

This is the best BBQ in the area, my mother and I visit at least 3-4 times a month typically on Friday. I almost always get unlimited ribs and they are always so amazing. They fall off the bone. The sauces are great and I can’t choose my favorite one because they’re all so good. You must try the hash browns casserole if you have a chance.
The desserts are great as well, I love the red velvet cake when it’s available.
The service here is also top notch. You start to feel like a regular after a few visits. Our waitress was Nancy last visit and she does a fantastic job.

Best restaurant in the area, Kevin and Amanda pride themselves with the service they offer. Most any thing you could ever think of eating can be ordered here, from BBQ to Spaghetti, they got it. The atmosphere and service are impeccable, 2nd to none. All Kevin’s BBQ is outstanding, and I recommend the rost beef spaghetti, and if you’re craving pizza… The bite pizza is king .. it’s hand tossed and cooked to order when ordered, don’t forget the fried pickles!!!

Service is excellent. The smoke meats is a 6 out of 10. Did not like the coleslaw. The flavor was off for me. As for the baked beans I like mine baked not cooked on the stove. Over all the restaurant is a good place to eat. Better than most. I will eat there again to try something new. I rathered like the place. The French fries was good next time I’ll get them with pulled pork and cheese over them.

Worst I’ve had in Dothan since I’ve been here (12 years). Nothing smoky about their food. Tastes like crock pot. Tried AYCE ribs. Could not chew them, like eating rope. Hate to leave these kinds of reviews but after spending $50, can’t help it. Fried okra and Cole slaw was good but mighty expensive for sides! Stay home with your grill if you want smoky and stay away from Smokies! Maybe there pizza is good?
