I made reservations to celebrate my birthday and chose to dine alone, which was my first experience doing so. Upon arriving, the staff greeted me with a cheerful “Happy Birthday,” which I found very thoughtful. Miranda, my server, was amazing—she was kind and attentive, which made me feel less alone during my meal.

I ordered the beef cheek pot roast, and it was delicious. The mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy, and the food was served piping hot. The prices were fair, especially when considering that many other places in the area tend to overcharge for small portions. The portion size at this restaurant was generous.

For dessert, I had a chocolate torte that had just the right amount of sweetness, not overly sweet at all. They were also very kind to provide complimentary ice cream. I enjoyed my experience so much that I’ve already made another reservation for my next visit, and I’m looking forward to returning.

Very nice, cozy restaurant in Germantown. Very pretty bar too.
Loved the decor and the general atmosphere of the place (and the paintings on the walls).
The food was also excellent. Let me recommend the chicken pate. Great, even if you are not the biggest fan of chicken livers.
The scallops were also excellent and it came with five large ones. Also loved the short ribs (though my one complaint with the meal was that the piece was fairly small and it did not come with any meaningful vegetables so it didn’t really fill me up – unless you want to fill up on the large portion of (unhealthy) mashed potatoes that came with the main course.)
Finally save room for the hot apple pie with ice cream and sauce. Definitely worth having.
All in all a wonderful meal.

We just didn’t appreciate the very standoffish attitude of the young girl working the front reception desk. We almost left before we got to experience this wonderful place. Glad we got past her bad snobbish attitude and to everyone else who worked so hard to make our night a wonderful experience.
Posting great photos that reflect what a very nice restaurant this is!

We will gladly will recommend and return soon! Let’s hope I don’t have to deal with the spoiled brat at the front!

The atmosphere is beautiful and I love the menu had seasonal items. I had the spaghetti squash. It was OK, not a ton of flavor. The group raved about the Mahi and the mashed potatoes, which were insanely creamed. The salad is wonderful and packed with vegetables. The table favorite was the baked apple pie with caramel. It was so hot and melted in your mouth. Service was slow, but doable.

What a fantastic find! We made a reservation for our party of 8 and had a perfect experience. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious, the service was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious—everyone in our group was raving about their meal. Highly recommend this Germantown gem, especially for groups!

Trust me, if you are in Nashville and want a place with a loose atmosphere, outstanding food, and first class service. 5th & Taylor is the place you want to be. Try the Raw Hamachi and you will come back for more. I would be remised to not mention Manager Alex for her above and beyond service. She made sure my birthday celebration was the best to date.

5th and Taylor is in our Top 3 favorite restaurants in all of Nashville. The best thing on the menu is the Beef Tartar. We’ve had it all over the world and theirs has been our favorite consistently. They also have an AMAZING cocktail menu with top notch bartenders. You can’t make a wrong choice with anything on the menu (food or drink)!!

5th & Taylor is a must-visit restaurant in Nashville. The moody, dimly lit atmosphere feels both elegant and intimate—perfect for a special night out in the city. The food is outstanding; every dish we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented, and the warm biscuits were unforgettable.

I was pleasantly surprised to see kombucha on the drink menu, and the cocktails were creative and well-balanced. The service was attentive and seamless, which made the entire evening even more enjoyable. If you’re visiting Nashville and looking for a refined yet memorable dining experience, this is the place to go.

This is my second time to 5th and Taylor and will say it was just as good as the first. This time I got the short ribs which were phenomenal. The sauce on the short ribs mixed with the mashed potatoes was to die for. Also go the duck wings which have the best flavor.
My wife got the fish which she loved.

Came here for classic southern dinner – the fried chicken was crispy (beware of the bones), the brussel sprouts stole the show, and the Mac and cheese was heavy and yummy — there will be leftovers! The cheddar and jam biscuits tasted like an apple pie and could double as dessert.
