Atmosphere
It has plenty of TVs and a subtle charm about it that you can help but feel cozy and welcome.
Service
Never had bad service here. Everyone is inviting, friendly, and quick to help with whatever you may need.
Food
I always get multiple meat combos because the pulled pork, brisket, and a variety of others are so good, you need to have as many as you can while here. Everything is moist and almost melts in your mouth. They have a great sauce variety that can easily be added to anything since they pair very well.
Overall it is a cozy BBQ joint that gives you what everyone needs, mouthwatering Bar-B-Cutie goodness!
Place your order at the counter with the friendly staff. You’ll be able to see through a window to the kitchen there. There are a lot of options for meats, sides, etc.
ALSO they recently brought back the BBQ bread! I don’t know where it went (to bread cemetery) I guess, but this last time I was there, they had it again. I was so happy. That stuff probably isn’t good for my heart, but it’s great for my soul.
Anyway. I am a creature of habit so I tend to get the same thing every time, and every time it is delicious. BBQ Pork plate with mashed potatoes and creamed corn. I don’t know what they put in their corn, but I’ll take a gallon, thanks.
My boys love their smoked turkey. I had to order another serving because shockingly, they all ate it and wanted more. It’s the one thing they can agree on.
Oh, don’t forget the chewable ice machine!
There’s some TVs so you can probably watch sports. The only downside is it’s almost always cold in there. Having said that, unless it’s 75 degrees, I’m cold. So take that with a grain of salt.
-The mac-n-cheese is some sort of cheese sauce on noodles.
-The mashed potato’s are from dehydrated box and they taste it.
-The pulled pork taste like it came from a plastic bag. It was gritty.
-The smoke sausage was ok but I order a side cheese sausage and they give you like a half order.
I paid $33 for this meal and threw more then half away.
The video was 15 minutes after I picked it up from them.
The coke was good.
The food is exactly what you want from a true BBQ restaurant: flavorful, hearty, and served hot. The brisket and sides were spot on, but the real star of the show for me was the banana pudding. Hands down some of the best I’ve had in Nashville, creamy, perfectly balanced, and the kind of dessert you’ll want to come back for on its own.
What really made the visit special was the manager. She was so friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. She took the time to make sure everything was just right, and that kind of service makes a big difference. The rest of the staff matched that same energy, fast and attentive without ever making you feel rushed.
The environment is just as good as the food, clean, casual, and cozy with a classic smokehouse feel. Prices are more than fair for the quality and portion sizes, which makes it an easy go-to whether you’re grabbing lunch, dinner, or just swinging through the drive-thru.
For anyone searching for authentic BBQ in Nashville, especially if you want to support a local business, Bar-B-Cutie SmokeHouse is a must-visit. Great food, great people, and great prices. I’ll definitely be back soon!
