This restaurant is literally exactly what I needed. The Pernil and rice were delicious, well -perfectly seasoned! I was greedy and tried the burger and fries, chicken soup and chocolate cake! All was a 10 out of 10. Tasted freshly prepared burger cooked medium perfect ! Soup and Pernil brought back memories!!! I ordered through the door dash but definitely will visit when I’m in Harrisburg again highly recommend…

Good food, okay service, fantastic value and overwhelmingly fresh! They serve alcohol. They are open 7 days a week. They open early enough for breakfast and late beyond midnight!

Just visited for a week straight after not working in the area for a few years- lovely food, always delicious always at great value! Always open! Parking lot isn’t very fun to navigate! Fairly pleasant and attentive service!(Video of parking lot added to review)

They’re not particularly great at any one thing. They are just consistent at being good.

“Breakfast of Champions… at 8PM!”

Listen—when I say this Dominican spot in Harrisburg, PA hits different, I mean it. I rolled in thinking I’d be too late for the good stuff. But lo and behold, 8PM and they’re still serving “Tres Golpes” like it’s 8AM in Santo Domingo.

Let me break this down:
We’re talking about a mountain of mashed plantains (aka mangú, the fuel of the gods), crowned with two sunny-side-up eggs, two glorious wheels of salami fried to crispy perfection, and—because this is real life and not a dream—a golden triangle of fried white cheese that crunches outside and melts inside like a hug from your abuela.

This is not just a meal. This is Dominican energy in edible form. The kind of energy that powered Sammy Sosa’s bat, Big Papi’s swing, and maybe even the entire ‘04 Red Sox comeback.

¡Pa’lante con mangú! ⚾️

Amazing Spanish food, portions are generous and priced fairly. The chicken stew lunch special and Sancocho soup are always my order. Chicken is fall off the bone with stew juice soaked into rice. Highly recommend this place.

Updated review: Definitely still amazing and authentic. Nothing is labeled so if you don’t know what something is you have to keep asking. Worth every penny. 8 months ago >Authentic Latin food Amazing see this layout of food. Reminds me of upper Jersey/NY/PR. The food was awesome and the taste was delicious. This was a Great experience of what I miss. So it diffently a must try if you’re in this area.

We have been here 2 times already this year. Sometimes you get tired of American diner food, fast food, Thai, and Indian so we like to mix it up and get Dominican/Puerto Rico food.

This food is pure comfort food and great on a winter or rainy day. My husband is Puerto Rican and loves the meals here. We do carry out now because with the drinks and tips our family of 3 ends up paying $100. They charge for water bottles and juices are pricey at $5. When we do carry out, it’s substantially less. We drive all the way out from Forest Hills/Linglestown area.

The one tamale/pastelle was a little bit too salty for my taste, but I liked the fried potato balls with meat, which was very good. I got a big chicken soup with these two appetizers. Husband and son got rice with meat entrees. The food portions are also plentiful. They are not cheap with rice like in Thai or Chinese restaurants.

The restaurant was clean. Parking lot can be tight so we had to park in street last time. We will go there tomorrow before the Super Bowl to pick up carry out.

The food was very good. Service was impeccable. But one meal , because my husband and I always share a meal was 40 $. They’re trying to make a hood place a 5 star restaurant, and it’s not. The food hasn’t changed at all , but them prices sure have.

Updated Review: We will get the Cubano right sooner or later.

I’ve been coming here for years and I always get a cuban sandwich cause this is one of the very few places in Harrisburg that offers them. However, unfortunately they can never seem to get it right. A Cubano is pork, ham, and cheese (and pickles) which it even states on their menu (menu doesn’t state pickles). Everytime I order one they always put lettuce and tomato and some sort of red sauce, even though I never ask for it and it’s not part of the menu description for this item. An authentic Cubano is what I mentioned above on cuban bread (which unfortunately they do not have here) but they do put it on a hero (or in PA they call it a hoagie or sub which I hate those terms and they are not correct. If you come from NYC you would agree). They also use yellow American cheese which is also incorrect. I feel bad because every time I come I feel like I’m starting an argument when all I want is just what’s on their menu. I actually did have an argument a few years back with one of the girls who was serving me, fighting about what a Cubano is which I thought was really odd.

I must say though they did update their menu design and renovated their restaurant which now includes a full bar and the workers are a little more pleasant now then the ones they had before which were very rude. They also move the line faster now then previously which could be about an hour to get a meal cause all the workers were busy talking. They do have some very tasty food here and the rice is equally amazingly tasty.

I hope one day I order a Cubano the restaurant will get it correct. Not only what’s on the menu but what a real Cubano should be. That’s why I deducted a star this time around.

1 year ago: Amazing authentic Spanish food. I always go with the cuban sandwich with some sweet plantains on the side. They also have some really good chicken and rice which I usually get one whole chicken cut up and a side of white and yellow rice. Yummy for sure

As always the food is very good and fresh and I stop by whenever I am in town (I’m from Michigan). I like the fact they speak Spanish which adds to the atmosphere. Parking is the only issue since I drive a full size pickup.
