I went today with my family for the community special. We were embarrassed so badly. Myself and my sons were crying.
I’m a disabled veteran and was told to go here by my case manager but I’ll eat out the trash first.
My kids ate the bean burrito in the car because we really were hungry. I didn’t mind that we didn’t get meat. They don’t like beans were hungry for real.
Thank you Taco Johns for the sentiment. But your employees suck.

I’m not sure if something has changed since the earlier reviews of this location as I haven’t been here before. But my visit was great! The restaurant was super clean and organized, and the staff was the nicest I think I’ve ever interacted with in any fast food place. The food is the same quality I’ve come to expect from Taco John’s; sure it’s fast food but the vegetarian options are great, I could get a reasonably healthy meal, and quality is miles better than a place I’ll just call Haco Tell

If you’re looking for a place to just grab a taco sure. Sauce selection is below par. Spicy sauce is non existent. Workers do they’re job and are good at it. Taco John’s needs to up their game.

We got 2 meal deals, 1 was supposed to come with 2 tacos and the other was supposed to have 2 burritos and a taco….. got home and in total we had 2 tacos and 1 burrito. We also had to wait for them to make something fresh but I dont know what that could have been. The potatoes were over salted and we were charged for the potatoes when they were supposed to be part of the meal deals. Will never go back.

My husband loves the food at Taco John’s but this location is slow, they skimp on the ingredients, and they mess up orders. Time before last we ordered our food and when they gave us our bag it was missing 3 items. Last time we ordered it was through door dash. We had ordered 2 orderes of potatoes and 12 tacos, they gave our dasher a bag full of nothing but burritos. When I drove the correct receipt and the wrong food back up all I got was ‘oh we’ll remake that’ no sorry or free item for all my inconvenience. I always go through the drive threw, this time I had to walk in and I found what looks like mold on the ceiling.

Taco John’s is what it is. Better than Taco Bell, but not Del Taco. I love the taco burger here. The taco and soft taco are also good. My wife and I had one of each. We also got some chips and cheese dip. The cheese was hot and very good. Here, they fill up the cup. It’s nice.
The restaurant is very clean! Super nice and well kept. The bathroom too. So refreshing to see pride in work.
This location is on Noland right off I-70. Easy to get to.
The staff is also excellent! The manager too. You can tell she has an excellent attitude. We will return.

Stopped here Saturday night (10/25/25) about 7:30-8:00 pm.
I don’t know what this location does to or how they make their meat but it tastes horrible.
For 43 years I’ve had Taco John’s in every location around, always get beef soft shell tacos, but what I had Sat night didn’t even taste like Taco John’s.
The potato oles and the guy that took my order was my only nice experience.

First of all, my family is very grateful for this business offering the community special as our family has been affected by the government shutdown. We are sincerely appreciative of them offering it, however, the employees seemed to be very annoyed by this. We drive from harrisonville to independence to donate plasma down the street since we are facing hard times and have asked to get the community special for our family on days we donate. The cashiers have noticed us since we asked for it before and they seem extremely annoyed and don’t even talk to us at the window.
The restaurant has not placed a limit on how often we are able to come, but we have been once a week. Once again, I’m grateful for the free food in the first place, but the employees make it seem like it’s coming out of their paycheck to make it.
