Stopped in for drinks and appetizers. Cocktails were well made and enjoyable. The food, however, fell short. The ghost cheese nachos arrived cold despite the restaurant not being busy. They were sparse—mostly cheese and scattered bacon—and missing the chives listed on the menu. The salad was fresh and well prepared. The bread with herb cheese was underwhelming, served on what seemed like a store-bought bun rather than fresh bread. I do appreciate the decreased pricing. The area downtown needs something more “‘mid range” to draw in more traffic.

Very pleasant experience. Great food and service. My Mom got a tuna burger with Cajun seasoning that was amazing. I had the San Francisco breakfast and really enjoyed that. Nice interior setting and patio setting on the river. Parking is a bit difficult to find.

Very good food, & very nice staff. We ate outside. My only complaint was the trees. I couldn’t see the river.
They serve up some pretty good mixed drinks as well.

A group of us was in town for Rock The Country last weekend and we found this perfect brunch spot. The bloody Mary bar was awesome and our server Casey was the absolute best. I ordered the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Our food was amazing and it had a relaxing view. We dined outside and it was fabulous!!

Our family enjoys meeting and eating at this restaurant before seeing our event at the Washington Pavillon.
Each time we’ve gone, we’ve had very good food, nice drinks, and enjoyable time. We enjoy the sorbet-champagne palette cleanser they provide.
Pictured is their Shrimp Ravioli.

We had a Pub Burger and an Asian Wrap. The burger was very flavorful. Cooked medium to perfection. The fries were hot and crispy with tender insides. The Asian Wrap had chicken, lettuce and a delicious sauce. 5* meal. Service was excellent. Definitely stop here if you’re in Sioux Falls.

Overall, we had a very good meal but it could have been excellent with better service and execution. The restaurant atmosphere is great; modern and clean with windows overlooking the Big Sioux River. There’s a large outdoor patio overlooking the river. The wait times for ordering drinks and food were long. Once our food (2 burgers, fries, and a salad) was ordered, it was a very long time before the food was brought to the table. Our orders were not hot – plates were warm but not piping hot as we expected after such a long wait. Mediocre service is the reason I have rated Ode 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

This is nothing like the Ode to Food that we knew. It used to be a “special event” to go there. This new place is just a fancy bar with a limited menu – burgers and fries, salads, deep fried beef chislick. If you are staying at the hotel, it’s a nice place to hang out and have a few drinks without worrying about driving or getting an Uber back. But if you were a fan of the old Ode to Food, don’t go. You will be so disappointed. We had one waitress and bland food. There was a photo of a baked sweet potato, so I ordered the roasted sweet potato with butter, thinking I was going to get a whole potato like the photo showed. It did not say that I would get cubed sweet potatoes that were covered in enough rosemary to choke a horse. They were awful and I asked for mashed potatoes instead. I was completely done eating my burger before they arrived at the table. The blue cheese on my burger was extremely runny ranch which forced me to eat my burger with a knife and fork.

First time visiting. Came with some friends for the burger challenge and a few drinks. The burger, The Big Spin Dipper, was really tasty, and I scored it high for the challenge. I had the Ceaser salad for my side. Not sure if the dressing was just bland or if the salad wasn’t dressed properly, but it was pretty unflavorful. Wife got the chislic with the pork belly potatoes. Chislic was tender and cooked well, but in our opinion, not seasoned very well. The potatoes were her favorite however, hot and tasty. The complimentary sorbet and champagne pallet cleanser prior to the meal was a nice touch.

Overall, not a bad place, a nice upscale feel and friendly staff.
