After spending a long day sitting at Urgent Care, I was tired and hungry. My husband and I stopped here for a meal on our way home.
We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. We seated ourselves per protocol and waited for menus. Both the bartender and server were with customers. Both let us know one of them would be right over, which was fine. Those who were here ahead of us deserved their attention.
The first thing I wanted was an adult beverage. I ordered a coffee nudge and it did not disappoint. Many places deliver this drink lukewarm, or incorrectly made, despite my telling the bartender the ingredients. My nudge came to the table hot and perfectly made.
My husband does not drink. He ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was very good.
I ordered the BLT with fries. My husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak dip with fries. Both items came up quickly and were hot and the fries were fresh.
Our server checked back with us a few times. She was attentive without being intrusive.
I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because the music was so loud, conversation was impossible. I realize this is a sports type bar, and this is normal. The music seemed louder than normal. The food is good enough I will go back for more meals.

Top notch service and the wings were to die for!
Can’t really say much more to be honest it’s a bar atmosphere and food was delicious!
I ordered wings with jojo’s, and potato salad. Everything was fresh and the wings were huge, cooked perfectly and super tasty!
My friend also ordered same as above, but different flavor of wings. He devoured his as well!
My other friend ordered this gigantic burger which looked delicious and was gone before we left so had to have been amazing!

The place is clean and what you would like in a dive bar. Pool tables, music, TVs, and a beer garden.

Very good Pub & Grill here. Great service provided good value for 8 oz. Top Sirloin w/ loaded baker garlic toast & salad. Also had house made chili. All made well and very fresh vegetables. Great work, Black Star. In today’s market you folks have won me over. We will return soon.

I chose gizzards, and they were smaller than marbles and tasted terrible. Mom had clam chowder, wonderful. Nice waitress.

Awesome hidden gem in the area. Stopped by here randomly for lunch as I work in the area and it did not disappoint. The service was good, friendly and attentive. My steak was cooked exactly to temperature how I like it and I feel like with the toast, baked potato and the Mac and cheese I got amazing value. Will definitely be stopping back by for lunch or even after work another time!

Great drinks, good people, chill spot. Even if you don’t drink & wanna eat and chill. Trivia night Thursdays, Karaoke Friday’s, the Tacoma pool league plays here occasionally.
Great food. Most plates are served until 1am. You can order to go.
My favorite bartender is Lea. She’s is such a great person. Sweet and knows how to throw down some drinks. We have become regulars.
