Amazing food and absolutely love design and style of the restaurant, quality of food is top notch alongside friendly staff. Amazing thing is 17€ per meal “chefs menu” which makes it affordable for family and bigger groups. Here is chicken curry with chips & rice , one of the best I had in Ireland.

Went for anniversary with my wife. We were expecting at least decent food, but unfortunately we were wrong. I had a stake, which was with a lot of bits and chunks hanging, was even hard to cut it. The mashed potato was not creamy, just kind of tough and bland. My wife had a burger and it was horrendous. I haven’t seen such a bad burger served. Chips were thick and dry. Burger “came” with onion relish, but instead we got some salsa…the meat was dreadful and the bacon was not fried enough, impossible to eat. Overpriced for the quality of the food. Really disappointed. The evening was almost as ruined.

We had on amazing night here on New Year’s Eve 2025, a beautiful meal in the restaurant served by very friendly staff, food was absolutely delicious. Then into the bar for drinks and I can honestly say the management and team are so so welcoming and friendly. Such a lovely clean bar, and so homly. For the new years celebrations every table was given large baskets of more delicious food I could not get over the generosity of the owners and we all partied the night away.

Amazing spot for a massive Sunday dinner with huge portions massive steaks. Kids menu was fantastic I had the Valley Inn burger and it was huge first burger in a long time to almost defeat me . Cater for big parties and large groups and staff where amazing very fast to clear and to deliver the food . I for one thought the menu was a bit large and a bit pricey but then portions spoke for themselves . Worth a visit for a big portion meal to stuff you. By far the beast bacon Caesar I’ve ever had full of flavour and sauce and perfectly balanced.

Discovered this place by chance while driving from Dundalk to Dublin. Extremely happy with the hearty food and service. Ideal for family dinner, very spacious and comfortable place. Portions were generous and staff very efficient. Nice pub at the entrance. Love the style!

Amazing place, a sanctuary, good food, good mood; John was always so nice to me and my partner through all the years we frequented; got us thru some tough times, had some really happy moments here. Only stopped going because covid, and they kept us fed with breakfast lunch dinner thru their takeout service, utterly indispensable resource, no overstatement. I only get to go in the odd Sunday morning these days (i was in at 10am yesterday, xmas tree, decorations, fireside, beautiful). Had the full breakfast, outstanding quality, as usual.

We had a very delicious meal. The surf and turf consisted of a very well cooked steak, generous size and soo full of flavour. The prawns were served in a ramekin in a delicious creamy sauce. Fresh homemade chips and two big battered onion rings completed the plate.
I highly recommend this place.

This is a fabulous pub and restaurant. We were a party of 30 or more people who were part of a pre-wedding party. We had booked the Smugglers Rest in Dunany but found out at the last minute that they had closed permanently. We literally phoned the Valley Inn an hour before we were all due to meet and they accommodated the entire group. It has a great menu, the food is lovely and the service excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great night. Thank you to the Valley Inn for rescuing our night out.
