This McDonald’s in Smithfield is a winner! I swung by and was impressed by how quick and friendly the service was. My order arrived hot, fries were crisp which is always a plus. And I have to say, the bathrooms were sparkling clean – a big thumbs up from me! They do have a playground that looks clean…there is a leather couch in the dining room, Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving a quick bite. I do recommend…

Had me pull forward in the drive thru and wait an hour for 2 sandwiches. All while getting multiple cars through. Went in twice and manager was falling apart. Happened around 8pm Feb 28 2026. Whoever worked that shift absolutely sucked, telling multiple people to pull forward to never help them. My first guess should’ve been the multiple people leaving while waiting in line.

They are always over staffed and not focused I’ve seen times I’ve been waiting for assistance and an off the clock employee comes in then all of a sudden there two employees at the register ready to chit chat with the employee over the customer ( they need to bring Mystery Shoppers back ) the new generation has a lot to learn about customer satisfaction and ratings.

My husband and I go here bcos it is near our house. We are noticing that we have to take our food back bcos the beef is still raw. I’m not sure why this keeps happening. We asked for them to cook it well but it keeps happening. I blame this on management. The pics are my sandwich & the other is my husband’s sandwich.

I normally don’t go inside McDonald’s, but yesterday I decided to order at the counter because I prefer not to use the self-order kiosk. I ordered and paid for a simple black coffee.
I stood at the counter for about ten minutes while customers who ordered after me received their food. When I politely asked if I could just get the cup — since it was only black coffee and the cream and Splenda were self-serve — I was ignored.
The woman standing behind me even commented that I needed to complain because it appeared I was being completely avoided.
After waiting with no acknowledgment, I walked out without the coffee I had already paid for. Thankfully, there was a Dunkin’ across the parking lot.
Very disappointing experience. I will not be returning to this location.

This store can do so much better, lack of communication. Lack of care, they just walk by you while your standing at the register, dont greet, you could be waiting the longest and they still gonna tell you to wait while they get everyone else out of the way and you food gets cold. Employee dont wear uniform you can see they wear personal sweaters hoping that you know who they are.

Went inside and the kiosk was down but was still able to order on it but not pay went up to the counter with my ticket managed to pay but apparently he was new and still trying to figure things out very quiet because those usually a bunch of kids running around food was almost $12 for about two items, a kids cheeseburger with a four piece nugget was what my sister in law had as I got two chicken sandwiches.

This is the worst place I’ve ever been to!
The employees do not wash their hands after taking packages outside to the cars. Inside, it is very dirty.
Especially the playground — it clearly needs a deep cleaning and the carpet for the children should be replaced.
The staff do not use gloves when preparing food, and they do not always follow proper hygiene.
I saw the same person wearing the same home clothes for four days in a row!
I come here to have a coffee, and my daughter loves the playground.

This restaurant has really gone down hill over the past month. What happened to Wayne, the night manager? The restaurant used to be really clean. The place seems disorganized and customer service has gone down hill.
The food is standard McDonald’s. It’s the people who work there that make a difference. Manager Wayne is always looking out for the customers. Wayne is kind, polite and professional. He makes sure the food is hot and fresh. I’ve seen him taking orders out to cars, even in the rain. Not many people can handle the night shift like he can. It’s managers like Wayne that make restaurants successful and keep customers coming back. You need more managers like him.

I’ve tried this place several times as it is the closet to me. I go out of my way to go to other locations because this one disappoints EVERY TIME. I don’t know what is up with their portions, missing/incorrect items, or why they make you pull up from the pick up window to wait when your order is only 1 sandwich and 3 fries only to have you wait 20 minutes for the food to be slightly warm as if it was ready when you were at the window but they left it out to get the line shorter. Now if this only happened 1 or 2 times I would understand but it happens all the time. Now to the chicken/fish patty portions, they’re smaller than any other McDonald’s I’ve been to. But come on, they even put half a cheese slice on my sandwich… How do you guys have a 100 score?
