My wife and I thought we were entering a gas station in search of restrooms!! Well, we found the restrooms and so much more. Neither of us had ever tried Indian cuisine, it was near lunchtime, and the aromas were so enticing we couldn’t resist. We tasted everything on the buffet and enjoyed every bite…one of the dishes was a bit spicier than I normally prefer, but it was so good I pushed through! The people were lovely and so kind and attentive, but not in a smothering way. 100% will go again when we are in the area. Fantastic “accidental” experience. Thanks!

You know youre in for some solid authentic indian food when you walk into a dilapidated gas station with a open air cafeteria and full indian family behind the counter whom you cant understand. Food was 5 stars – had the chicken pakora which is like smaller fried chicken fingers with dipping sauces and Mango drink. Added green chutney too which was spicy but not crazy; probably tabasco level. It all turned out to be $20 which is cheaper than being at an indian restaurant for same level of authenticity. I likely will go back because I work nearby

One of the best Indian places in the world is in Hammond, Louisiana in a gas station. You absolutely have to come here. It’s the perfect buffet selection for the perfect price they even have chai on tap which if you’re a fan of chai, you don’t wanna miss this.

That’s too small for 18 bucks food with no drink. Need to be on platter plate not a cup of rice and sauce . Learned my lesson no more Indian foods for me same situation to all there restaurants. Usually I cook in truck but once in blue moon you want to eat out. Best to go to restaurants for sure.

It was very good good. I was surprised it was inside a gas station, and was expecting it to be rushed and poor quality. I was delighted to find it was just as good as any other Indian restaurant I’ve been to. Great service and delicious food.

The best Indian buffet i have been to in a long time. The butter chicken was perfectly tender and seasoned well. Also try the spicy chicken, very tasty. Only 4 stars for atmosphere. High because omg the restored tractor and Army jeep was impressive. Not 5 because it appears they are repurposing/refurbishing an old Shell gas station into a diner and its a work in progress.

I really hope these folks make it, the food is that good.

Some Indian friends told me about this place, so I drove up from New Orleans to try it for myself. I came on a Monday afternoon for their lunch buffet and it did not disappoint! I tried everything and danced in my chair while eating. I especially enjoyed the butter chicken and curry. The staff was very friendly and attentive. A gentleman brought fresh naan to my table. Unfortunately I could only muster two plates today. I’m not rating the atmosphere because it’s a buffet in a gas station, so I enjoyed the novelty of the experience. The tractor was shipped over from India and was used in the largest farmer’s protest. Very cool. I’ll definitely be back. 🙂

An Indian buffet by two truck stops is wonderful to provide healthy options for those traveling. You can also place orders for other things that aren’t on the buffet line. Plenty of vegetarian options. Delicious food and great customer service.

I came here for lunch. I ordered my food to go, but I really should have eaten here. The buffet is under $16. My order to go came out to $19 and some change.
The food is absolutely fantastic. I was a little disappointed not to see biryani on the buffet. But everything else tastes excellent. Since I am in town, I will be going back for lunch again.

PS. Just finished 2nd day of lunch here. The chick peas and yogurt dish is my favorite.
