Walking around the city as a tourist definitely builds up an appetite. After exploring and taking in the sights, we stopped at a cozy little place called Mama Leone for a delicious bite to eat. The warm atmosphere and flavorful food made it the perfect spot to relax and recharge before heading back out to continue our adventure.

A restaurant sitting next to the river with a great outdoor terrace and nice view, service was not to bad and food was ok, the waiter spoke good english. I would come again for the vibe (lots of people walking past) but the food situation needs a bit improvement.

Nice designed restaurant. Has an indoor and outdoor section. The outdoor section looks nice and faces the river, but unfortunately there is was at least one smoker polluting the air. I sat inside to avoid it but it did occasionally drift inside. It was nice being in the old world building and getting some rest (everyone else was outside).
The staff was friendly and did not forget about me even though I was the only person indoors and hiding at the back.
I had the vegetarian pizza. Good variety and quantity of toppings. Base was fine but a bit burnt in places.
Staff did guilt trip me into a tip at the end…I didn’t think tipping culture was a thing here but they were attentive enough so I gave one.

The food was ok. The service was great until the end when we we mandated to leave a tip. The waitress bumped the reader to my phone for Google pay. And to ur surprise a very hefty tip was included. I was planning on tipping, but I want to decide how much. When we asked about this the waitress said tips are mandatory and included then suddenly lost her ability to speak English. In the end after much discussion we got our overcharge back. But what a way to ruin a dinner. And by the way, tipping is customary in Germany, never mandated and decided by the waitress. Read other reviews and you’ll see the same thing happening at this tourist trap restaurant.

Lovely restaurant. We sat outside by the river and watched the world go by and it was great.
I had the soup (tomato) and it was stunning. One of the best soups I’ve tasted (I like salt but some people may find it a bit salty).
The pizza was good too. Very basic but basic is lovely.
The chips were also very nice. We would recommend and come back again.

Didn’t hang around long to try the food, as had to cancel our order and leave on account of terrible service from the older man in grey jumper. I asked to order drinks and he barked ‘is coming’ so I replied ‘no, a drink please’ and he shouted ‘is coming’, which I thought referred to our food we had ordered. In the end he shouted ‘I told you four times, is coming.’ I have NEVER experienced such awful service to the point he made me cry. Avoid at all costs.

Went with friends on the last day of Koln visit. It is an amazing restaurant right in the main restaurant spot and beside rhe rhine river. Speaks English, so ordering was a breeze. Not much options for vegetarian. Cost wise, pretty normal side. Very hospitable. Foods were delicious. Have the Gin on the house, amazing.

The food was not good. Steak was apparently medium rare but I think they don’t care since all steaks are cooked the same. Mine was leaning towards well done. Service was even worse than the food. Never experienced such a bad service in a long time. Overall 1.5 stars
