We came into town to cel rate our Anniversary, my daughter coordinated everything! This was not dinner ; this was an entire experience! Our server Veronica….. went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I had an amazing time! I wish we could take her back home ! This was service . The food on point! My husband said his T-bone steak was one of the best he has had ! The gator tail , amazing he ordered one to take back home !
Being the concierge industry and as business owners , we know service , we know staff that has been trained well ! I will say this you need reservations, which we did have . And still had to wait a bit . We will back and have already highly recommended to a few friends and family

well it was my birthday and I wanted to enjoy it at a fancy restaurant
after much research I like the reviews for embers
and I must say the reviews were right
first the service was very good
I liked our server he was friendly and he was very attentive
I also like how they had different servers bring like the bread and then bring the full course
although this place is very very pricey
I find that the quality of food was well worth it
did many many options and our whole table each got something different
I ordered the fish
I believe it was mahi-mahi
it was perfectly cooked
the seasoning was very good
and I had ample amount
I chose for my sides the macaroni and cheese and the sweet potato whipped
oddly they didn’t give us any of us a spoon so it was hard to actually eat the whipped potatoes with the fork I kind of had to laugh about that
but it was rich and very good. the macaroni I wouldn’t give a five-star
it was okay
my friend had a cut of steak I believe it was filet mignon and she said it was very good
my other friend had the king salmon and he said it was excellent
my table also got some desserts. I believe my friend had a chocolate torte and she said it was very very rich and she liked it
for my birthday they gave me a scoop of sorbet which was excellent on a pretty platter saying happy birthday
overall
I would highly recommend this place even though it’s very very expensive it’s worth at least a visit once in your lifetime

This was my first time visiting Embers and I have to say everything with excellent from the food to the service. Vic K was our waiter and he was knowledgeable about food and drink menu, and had a great personality as well! I ordered the 14oz ribeye and it was the best steak I’ve ever eaten. The lobster mashed potatoes were yummy and the four cheese macaroni was even better. 3 choices of different breads were all excellent as well. This is my new favorite restaurant. Portions were large enough to share an entree if you want. The cocktails were a little strong, because one drink had me feeling tipsy. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We visited for a belated Valentine’s date, and while the evening started strong, the main courses were a major technical letdown.
Our server informed us that they had two large wedding parties that they were serving, we really should’ve taken that in consideration when we ordered the food. We should’ve stopped at the wine and charcuterie board.
The Good: The Malbec was very good.
The Disappointing: My duck and risotto was unfortunately a failure in execution. I ordered the duck medium-rare, but the skin was not crispy at all—it was soft and unrendered, making it very chewy.
The biggest issue, however, was the risotto. It was simultaneously gummy on the outside and completely undercooked/crunchy in the center. Biting into raw rice in a premium entree is a fundamental kitchen error that shouldn’t happen at this price point.
My partner ordered the 14 ounce ribeye with french fries and a smoked Gouda sauce for the fries. I will have to tell you that the ribeye looked absolutely amazing, but when he handed me a cutting to taste, it lacked complete flavor! It made me wonder what I was truly chewing on, then I dipped the fries into the smoked Gouda sauce – I couldn’t even understand what the sauce was. I just didn’t understand why this meal was outside the scope of the previous culinary talent that I have visited in the past.
Why didn’t we send back our meals… we were forewarned by Nick, our server, that 2 large wedding parties were being attended to that evening. We showed up to have a nice meal and not have it to be a disappointment. We did not ask for our meals to be taken off our bill. It would have made the evening more tense than it should have been.
It’s a shame when the wine and appetizers are the only highlights of a celebratory dinner. I hope the kitchen can tighten up their consistency, as the service and ambiance deserve better food to match.

We celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary with a great dinner at Embers Wood Grill. The food and service were superb. We enjoyed a filet mignon and a porterhouse Steak . Both steaks were absolutely excellent including the side dishes . Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Living in the northern western part of Florida this is one of our favorite places.

The wife and I really enjoyed our night out at Embers. The food was cooked to our requests. The taste and flavor of the food was wonderful and plate presentation was excellent. We noted my wife’s birthday on the reservation and they gave her a nice Birthday treat. I got the Duck breast and she got a steak. We will make this her birthday dinner treat every year now. Atmosphere was okay. Alot of servers and other employees walking around constantly, no type of music playing just dead air and the drop ceiling should be replaced to fit the Embers design and Atmosphere. But don’t let that deter you from visiting this place.

This is a fancy restaurant in Gainesville. Staffs are well-trained, very professional. Steaks are great. I had a grilled fish, but when I return next time, I’ll go for the steak. The steak, my wife ordered, wad so good. She got the ribeye, and you never fail with that. I was happy that she said she wall full quite early, so I was able to finish the rest of it. I’m happy that she eats little portion of foods (just joking). Anyway, when you are in a steak-mood, come check this place out. It’s worth it.
