Overall it was good. Location was bad for me because it’s on a campus. Seemed too busy with orders to keep up with keeping the place clean. I waited 20 minutes for my food. Plus when I ordered the bowl of soup the container was only filled half way.. straight rip off. And then my fiancés fork snapped.. lol. The cookie was fire! $35 for two people

Expensive, but very good food. The employees are nice and they are pretty quick. Primary issue is that they start closing at six when official close is 7. Wouldn’t it make sense to build in time for closing after open hours?

I would definitely say it depends on the day here. Some days, the customer service is great, orders go out quick, it’s clean, and the food is great. On other days, the staff stands there and talks instead of working so food takes forever to get out, it’s dirty around the soda machines and tables, and the food is not edible. Today I ordered a Caesar salad, and there was more mushy disgusting lettuce than good, edible lettuce. There is one specific “chef” in the back who is rude, he is always saying he can’t make certain things, and doesn’t care about his job. I ordered a yogurt parfait that comes with honey, fruit, and granola a few weeks ago. I ordered it three separate days, one day it was delicious and made by another lady in back, the next day it had no honey or fruit and was half way full, and the other day it had no honey or fruit and was a mess. Is it that hard to get such an easy order right with the correct ingredients?

I am close to campus every day and have been in proximity to this location since it first opened. This place is fine if you just want a self-serve drink (the drip coffee is better than Starbuck’s drip), but the location overall is poorly managed and the food is not worth the price. My food has been wrong or weird across the handful of times I got food with a gift card, and that’s been sporadic over the years with no improvement in that time.

This location is also closed for winter and summer break, which makes the drink subscription inconvenient to use if you’re not near another location – I cancelled mine the first winter break this location was closed a few years ago and will not renew.

I was a customer of Panera locations close to my hometown forever ago, but this location has been such a bad experience (especially for being the first in Reno) that I will not be visiting other Panera locations in the future.

I spilled my water all over the table. The staff went out of their way to make me not feel so embarrassed or guilty. I made them work harder than they were, and yet they assured me it was not a problem and what they are there to help with. I was truly grateful for their compassion.
Thank you Panera staff!

Very long wait for a simple order. I waited over 30 mins. It was not busy, one customer left without food…could not wait ….

This location has been terrible since re-opening in September. The staff is generally nice but that’s about where anything good ends. The wait time for food is so long that I can’t trust my order to be ready if I have to go to a meeting or do anything. The food quality has gone downhill as well. I ordered the green goddess cob salad and got the vinaigrette dressing. Everything is sloppily put together and unappealing. I got an email my order was delayed and then no notification that it was actually sitting there for me to pick up. They also routinely shutdown and close the gates because they are too backed up to take more orders. On one occasion I was told they were out of bread when I wanted to to order a breakfast sandwich. Another day they only had almond milk for coffee. This is very disappointing and I will be cancelling my sip club membership because I don’t want to support a business that operates this way.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews unless absolutely necessary, but after waiting almost 2 years for Panera to open on campus, what a disappointment! They clearly were not staffed, trained, or ready to open when they did. And they still aren’t. Even months afterwards, I would mobile order and a simple sandwich and salad took almost 2 hours to be ready, when the app would estimate 20 minutes. Panera itself doesn’t have incredible food for the price either. I don’t know which college students or faculty want to spend $20 on a mid lunch, but not me. They often are out of ingredients as well. During rush hour, they’ll only have one cashier whether if it’s for ordering or their popular Sip Club, which ends up being very inefficient. The Sip Club itself continually raises it’s price and while I used to subscribe, I no longer find it worth it. They’re usually out of lemonade or have it hidden behind the counter for some reason. Since it’s on campus, they rotate quickly through college students trying out their first jobs, so expect your food to be inconsistent, sloppy, and take way longer than necessary for a sandwich and salad joint. No shame, my first job was food service as well, but there seems to be no consistent training or good management there. The one lady manager I’ve seen is quite stand off-ish to customers, and the only other capable adult chef who worked in the prep area seems to have been relocated, which is a shame. Don’t waste your time, don’t waste your money, just go to süp or Yosh’s Unique Deli.

Thought I would just grab a quick bite before I had my next class, though I’ve been waiting for a small mac and cheese for more than an hour and I’m going to have to cancel it just so I can actually get to class. Most of the workers are nice, though they’re slow and not getting any orders out. There’s a 20+ order list that are being “prepared.” Didn’t think I’d have to get here two hours prior to my class just to get a freaking small thing of mac and cheese.

This location is really bad. Food is fine but students have to wait over an hour to get their food when it’s not even that busy. I’m here at 11 am and multiple people have been waiting for at least 45+ minutes for a cup of soup and grilled cheese. Students have to cancel their orders to make it to class on time. There’s no reason these orders should take this long, seems like the staff is really disorganized.
