In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. WOW!! I was lied to about this place and I am MAD !!!!! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!! WOW!!! it’s literally fast food Mexican food!!!! I paid $16 and got more than what I could handle I got the macho platter and the number five medium 4 my boyfriend wow!!!!! Go try this place now!!!!they were nice and fast it was soooo fresh and delicious wow I found my new favorite spot also the macho platter came with a taco but I scarf that down

Been coming here for years! Never had 1 mistake. My BF loves his Bueno, so had his 40th bday here with 30 guest, not 1 mistake. They are friendly and inviting! They deserve a raise if you ask me . I tried reaching out directly to cooperate to commend this location, never responded ☹️

I ordered two Muchacos, One beef and one chicken, and let me tell you, I was very upset that my chicken muchaco barely had chicken. You have to pay over $4 for one chicken muchaco and they don’t even fill it up with chicken. It looks like they took two pieces of chicken and tried to shred it…y’all need to get it together bueno. At this point, Taco Bell even gives more than that and they’ve Always been greedy with portions.

It’s a basic fast food place but has reasonable prices. Service seems to be fast when you’re going through the drive-thru. Maybe I’ve just gotten lucky. It’s interesting how you get a lot of salsa they don’t really have typical sauce so I asked for way too many realizing. The staff is always been friendly. The food has always been hot and seems to be fresh

As usual in a college town, the hours say 24 hours, but they do what they want. I showed up at 11:30 and some kid was blocking off the drive thru. He went back inside without even the courtesy of telling me why and locked the door. There were multiple adults, little children, inside.

firstly foods great fantastic even by my fiance and I entered the lobby to order and were told the lobby was closed so we wouldn’t be able to eat in, that is normal what was not normal, legal or acceptable was being locked in and not being able to leave till a manager unlocked the front door for us after receiving our order

Last time my girlfriend ate here her meat was undercooked and this time I thought saw a burnt pice of chicken and I took it out and saw that its a june bug! This is disgusting and the undercooked meat is dangerous. This place was pretty solid and we ate here all the time but after these past few incidents we will never eat here again. Absolutely disgusting

Taco Bueno has my been my go-to for fast food Tex-Mex, but I have to admit the quality has declined over the years. While I understand it’s fast food, the freshness and flavor just aren’t what they used to be. On top of that, the value for what you get has diminished—portions seem smaller, and the prices feel higher for what’s offered.
That said, the staff has always been friendly and helpful, which is a bright spot. I really hope they can improve and get back to the level of quality that made Taco Bueno a favorite.

Order #451504 Rice was dry (overcooked) and not seasoned to have taste. The soft tacos and burritos were greasy to the point the grease actually dripped. Dr Peppers were heavy syrup with no carbonation. A 34 meal I would not purchase again. The only nice person was the young man who brought my to go order out to me. The grown man behind the counter not so much. Not nice at all.
