Cute lil restaurant! The staff were so friendly. It’s a really small restaurant! So be patient if there isn’t seating! But there was outside and indoor seating as well. The breakfast was very good! The french toast was excellent. Really good price for the meal! It was easy parking for us due to it being a weekday and early in the morning.

This is hands down the best breakfast in Monterey. If you ever have the opportunity to sit at the bar you must, it’s so fun and everyone who works here, I simply can’t even put into words how amazing they are. My son loves the huge hubcap pancakes and he begs us the come back any chance we get. They offer mimosas and everything on the menu is delicious. Another favorite is the Cinnamon French Toast and the fresh basil in an omelette is now a new necessity in my husband’s omelette. They are usually busy and have a wait but I promise you they are definitely worth the wait. We even came back 2 days in a row and this will always be where we stop for an amazing bite.

Fantastic service with amazing food. The restaurant is small but there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The portions are insanely huge so be careful how much you order, and the quality of the dishes is incredible so you won’t be disappointed with anything you get. We ordered the halibut fish and chips (a daily special) which came with fries and salad, and a monster burger with cheddar cheese and bacon. I would highly recommend this place as a stop for lunch.

I was very excited to come here. The service was okay. Our food was not good this day. My oatmeal was not good. It could have used a pinch or 2 of salt and butter while cooking to help combat the creme brûlée sugar topping. I added salt to my oatmeal and then half-and-half and still was only able to eat about 4 spoonfuls before I decided it was a no-go for me. My scrambled eggs were dry and felt like they were sitting on the plate a little too long. The bacon was cold, but it was cooked well. The orange juice tasted like a cheap concentrate sink water and was not good at all. My husband got 2 eggs over easy, which were undercooked, and the egg white was still liquid. The potatoes didn’t have any seasoning on them at all. They were just plain. The bacon was also cooked well, and this day, they ran out of sausage, so we couldn’t order the sausage. Lastly, my husband ordered wheat toast with his meal, and they gave him sourdough. The food looked/looks nice.It just did not taste good at all.This was my first time eating here.I wish I had a better experience because of all the hype.

The staff is super nice though and are part of the experience.
The pancakes are huge and the portion you get is honestly enough to be split between 4 people. So eating here can be really affordable if you’re okay with sharing.
Omelettes are delicious and everything is made right in front of you.

Oh. Goodness! We travel a lot and we are from Louisiana so we judge food differently. Lou Lou’s is legit delicious! Fresh food, awesome atmosphere and fun/friendly staff! I had an omelette, sourdough toast and those potatoes! Hubby had their burrito which was huge and amazing. We both now have lunch, too because the servings were so large!

Biggest pancakes EVER and so cute. Right on the pier, Loulou’s Griddle in the Middle is a quaint, personable place for a meal. Why the 4 stars and not 5… only because we had a group of 6 and we couldn’t fit at the same table, because the restaurant is quite small. Other than that it was a great value for the food, and it really did feel friendly and casual. We would definitely go there again!

This charming little breakfast spot on the wharf was great. The food was delicious and service was fast and attentive. The bacon was so good and the cinnamon French toast was awesome. We sat at the bar and had a front row seat to all the cooking action. We went early on a weekday and just can’t imagine how busy it must get on weekends as the place is tiny.

This place is just lovely. It’s a small spot – we did have to wait about an hour on a Sat morning, however we walked around and enjoyed exploring the Wharf while we waited, so it wasn’t a big deal. Also by the time we wrapped up closer to 1pm it looks like the wait for new parties softened.
Absolutely loved the food. Crab cakes and potatoes were cooked to a perfect crisp. My mom and sister had French toast, for which they had sourdough as an option, yum. My nephew had a hub cap pancake and was so thrilled about it! Might’ve been the largest pancake he has seen in his 4 years haha.
Big thank you to the folks who work there. Staff was so warm and friendly to us and my young nephew! Loved it!

Once in a blue moon we find a unique place like this that makes us feel like old friends from the moment we were greeted and shown to our seat at the counter. We loved everything about it! The humor of the hostess immediately made us feel welcomed. We enjoyed watching the cooks while at the counter. The atmosphere, the food, everything was wonderful. Especially the pancakes!!!
